He is on a roll with last few projects..
and to think, this is his first costume drama!
I don't watch Xianxia but if he directs a Xianxia in near future, Forget the Plot, I will be watching that.

If you love slice of Life and you're okay with Slow pace, This is it. If not, then it might not be for you

No suspense
No Thriller
No Revenge
No Dark Trauma / dark past
No drama
No Bullshit

Just a Slice of life drama with simplicity, calmness and maturity.

Personally, This is my all time Fave but people have different taste.

He is very observant and only intervenes or help when he ABSOLUTELY has to ; when she asks him for help for things she couldn't do on her own.
He obviously cares and is looking out for her, but he is also keen as to what she would do and how she would handle.. he obviously comforts her but it's not straight forward. His words seem harsh but he is also trying to give her lesson.

But not him, its not that he doesn't care but he is very observant and analyzes things and knows that FL can handle things on her own, also doesn't wanna interfere as this might be a lesson for her in the future. what he said might come as harsh but it is what it is.

I am very much Impressed by how Ding Zi Guang has directed the series.
Considering His Last two projects, this shouldn't be surprising . I am absolutely enjoying this.

I am not a Very Patient person
so normally in a series that has romance , I am like " Oh just kiss already for god's sake"
But Ding Zi Guang does it in very calm natural manner , it might be slow but i don't hate it, he focuses on other elements that slowly but surely ties with romance.
and normally this is where I drop most of the series 😂😂
...but not with DZG's work!

Haters have rated it all the way to 32 EPs...
The AVG rating for all is around 8

Compared to the two other ongoing series which has AVG rating of 9-10 for all episodes
