I have tried till the end of the moon, dropped it as well Legend of shenli is on my list thought but I am hesitant to start this.

I tried watching the last immortal since it's a sequel to ALP, didn't like it so dropped that one as well...

So yeah after all these years ALP is the only XIANXI that I have completed.

Yes. Started in 2022 but dropped it . Picked it up again in 2024 because people were saying it's the best, again couldn't get into it so dropped again. I have tried almost every Hyped and popular XIANXIA but so far I have managed to complete only one and that's ALP.

If romance is the main thing you're looking for, then it might not be for you. I mean it's a slow burn but it focuses on other things that romance but it does come naturally, Nothing is forced. Perhaps the Best confession in any dramas. And again Li Xian plays a Green Flag character! The spark is there, the confession comes during ep 26. Ep 25,26 is my fave.. they get official during 29-31 I think...

It's very simple , calm and mature drama.
There's no nonsense, no bullshit no plot twist and turns.

MDL ratings have been broken for a long time now..

I am loving Ding Zi Guang's work.
He is on a roll with last few projects..
and to think, this is his first costume drama!
I don't watch Xianxia but if he directs a Xianxia in near future, Forget the Plot, I will be watching that.

If you love slice of Life and you're okay with Slow pace, This is it. If not, then it might not be for you

No Revenge
No Dark Trauma / dark past
No drama
No Bullshit

Just a Slice of life drama with simplicity, calmness and maturity.

Personally, This is my all time Fave but people have different taste.
