Title Born to Be on Air! Spoiler
The first episode is A-MA-ZING. I have so much respect for Koshibe Fuka, she's gorgeous AND talented. I admire…
Disapointed in Katayose Ryota, though. He's really weak here.

I like the first two episodes! Usually, for those types of drama, everybody becomes crazy and/or bad except the protagonist that keeps everybody together ~~~
But here, it's a mix of every type of people. Even when the main trio is not here, some people go crazy, and some try to keep things together, and they're not "useless" at all.

I really like that main trio, too. They have all different types of personalities but go well together. They don't let their differences go against their teamwork and actually talk about things.

The character of Yuto may be the idealistic cliché, but he really understands that his ideals are difficult, and work hard as hell to keep them all together. + As a firefighter he did see terrible situations, and humans overcoming them together, so I can understand the fact he tries to save everybody, even if it can be seen as too "idealistic".

Sae can also be seen as idealistic, but I just think she's just very sweet. And also work hard to help as much as she can, and assist everywhere. She's not giving lessons, or giving pretty speeches, so it helps her character a lot. Some female characters in this type of story can go very fast, very annoying, so I'm glad they're not going that road. She's nice and a hard worker.

Naoya is easily the most interesting, but that was obviously wanted in the script, he's "grey", and doesn't really trust people, but in the end, he's very nice. I like how he challenges the others all the time, and it works because the other two are too nice to actually get angry at him and think about what he says and talk with him.

Really nice beginning! I hope it'll continue like that, and we'll not go all "they go crazy and all kill each other, rape, and all that".

I thought Takumi's character story would be the last arc, but it doesn't seem so!

Next episode (5), we begin his story arc. I'm surprised by the next episode preview. He seems to have a good relationship with Kazama. Well, it's still Kazama, so he's stone-faced, but he seems different than he is with the other students.

I thought Takumi's character would be the worst of his students, immature and stubborn, which is why he got killed. But here he seems very sweet and actually a good cop.

I was so scared you weren't gonna be in the top 9, how did you pull this reverse card and win the top 1?

I'm so happy, a little afraid of the Korean backlash, but so happy he debuted. Not all my picks made the top 9 (Jeonghyeon, Jay, Hanbin, love you), and it's not full of the kids with the best skills, but I love them all.

I hope they'll practice a lot to prove all of us wrong and do amazing with their own songs. <3

I know it's difficult for many of us to accept and understand some of the results, but I'm following this Korean Youtuber who works behind the scenes in the entertainment sphere (in Korea, Japan & China), and listening to him made a lot of things clear. He followed and reviewed all of the BP episodes, and talk about the controversies. And analyze the top 9 and their synergy.
It made me understand a lot about what is popular in Korea right now, the MNET behind the scenes, the editing, the training the boys get in the show, the current state of Kpop trainees, the dance, vocals, raps, etc... Not just on a surface level, and about things that everybody knows, but the real behind the scenes.

ANYWAY, if people miss the show already, or want to understand some things from the point of view of a Korean professional, I'll put his channel link (boys planet playlist) here : https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9cF3PoDggnPgO3IE58rJEIvEHSU5PhmX

(Be careful, though, he is objective and can be cold with his commentary if you're easily annoyed when someone says that your bias isn't a perfect idol, don't watch him + the subtitle are not perfect, but very understandable)

Zhang hao is liked by knetizens so i think he's spot is secured
Hanbin is very expressive about his love for Hao, so I know some knetz voted for Hao in their 3picks. Now that it's one pick, I'm getting scared.

If Hao is your 1 pick, vote for him, do not think he is safe :')

Don't worry I was thinking the same exact thing. Also the PD that rigged Produce is back from jail.
I was reacting to this comment "He was rehired, I'm worried they might rigg it again :("

It felt like it meant that bc he was rehired they will begin rigging again ^^
So I was like "unfortunately, I don't think they stopped just bc he was in prison".

:)

It's obvious he wasn't the main guy behind the manipulation of PD101. The fact he was rehired is making it clear that he was promised a place back in the company if he took the fall for the important people who ordered the rigging ^^

He did take the fall, so he is back as promised :)

Mnet do not need him to rigg things, they do it alone, it's one of the most powerful companies in the country, lol

Where does the Manga stop? I watched the movie and loved it!! First episodes of this drama was weird for me too..…
The anime stops after the couple begin dating (in second year of HS?).

The manga stops when they leave for university, like the drama.
There is a spin off on Kurumi's love story at the University. She lives with Sawako there and meets her older cousin/childhood friend and fall in love.

I think the anime is also on Netflix? In my country it is.

As a lot of people said, it's nothing that hasn't been done before, but it is done SO WELL.

All the characters are endearing and Umi's journey is super fun. Maybe a little too short, I would have liked maybe just 10 more minutes of cute. But it was still really good!

Title Boys Planet Spoiler
Spoiler-free ~~It's my first time catching youtube LIVE, and the chat is pretty horrible. It's a little scary.…
For the theatre, whyyyyyy did they skip Matthew's team and Jay's team?
I could understand Matthew's because he gets more screen time after, but Jay's? He is invisible in Over Me !!!!

For SWITCH, it was an okay bts. Not everybody was shown, but still, it was a little of everything and Hanbin deserves the screen time as he saved the team.
I didn't really like how they kept showing JongWoo and Keita being salty over the fact they got chased off. When "Over Me" was winning the team points, they even show them saying that they prefer "Say My Name" winning if it's gonna be like this (that they don't especially like Say My Name, but they don't want Over Me to win).
I understand that the boys are angry, and they don't like some teams. They don't need to be all close to each other, but WHY SHOW IT Mnet? You don't want Keita in the final team that bad?

For SAY MY NAME, we already wrote the script, we all knew it was gonna be like that. Matthew was gonna get all the screen time, he was gonna be amazing after being angry a little. We even see Jiwoong going to his room to APOLOGIZE for being HARSH on him. That was too much of them. Matthew was the poor sacrificial lamb for the team and he overcame it like the best amazing boy he is.
Hanbin got all the hate. Whaaaaat a surpriiiiiiise.

OVER ME was a MESS. I mean, the bts. My pick is Zhang Hao, okay? He's my fav. BUT WTF WAS THAT?
We got some Ricky being good, some Jeong Hyeon who was super cool too, almost no Jay, and only weird Kuan Jui. The reason for the mess was Hao's leadership not suited for the short time they had, they didn't need to show KJ in that light!
I was a little weirded out at the boys bitching on Hao when they were the ones making a hundred suggestions XD Like... Guys, he's in the wrong for accepting everything you say, but YOU are the ones who are adding things everywhere XD

Anyway, it was super awkward that Hao got that much screen time, especially because we ALREADY got the "inexperienced leader" storyline in another episode with Matthew.
And he got double the amount with the theatre bit because he did well with Hanbin.

He's also the one with the highest ranking on his team, so WHY? AND he's also the one who gets the crazy benefits, HE DOESN'T NEED MORE SCREENTIME! Why MNET?

So weird. And I didn't like that. I can't even imagine Jay's fan's feelings right now, what the fuck was that. So awkward.

For the results, I was super surprised. I expected "Say My Name" to win because they got all the most popular trainees.
Over Me deserved it, tbh, they had the best song and best performance overall. I'm happy that Jeong Hyeon and Kuan Jui got those benefits, and I hope it will get Jay&Ricky in the top 9 in the next episode!

It's my first time catching youtube LIVE, and the chat is pretty horrible. It's a little scary.
It was full of random hate for Yujin, and a lot of hate for Hanbin/Jiwoong during the Say My Name part. :/
It wasn't really fun.

Anyway.
The theatre thing was cute but, it was just to keep the suspense for the rest of the performances.

The switch performance was fun, and their outfits and the set were AMAZING. Visually, I think it was the best one.
Say My Name was pretty much what I expected. It was cute and refreshing, and the boys were good!
Over Me was my favorite performance, everybody was really good.

Mnet was still a mess for the editing. I didn't like what they did for Say My Name (no surprise). But the surprise was Over Me! What is this??? My pick was the one who got the most screen time but I'm not happy at all. Why can't they show everybody? Why do they need to focus on ONE person? Nobody wants that. They already did that with Matthew and know it only creates haters, why are they doing it again with someone else?
