This is based on the true story of Princess Deok Hye's life, so it's very hard to watch without crying.
I do wonder what happened to Jeong Hye, the princess' daughter?
Some of the plot was a little hard to follow for me, and I couldn't really tell the difference between the characters save for Deok Hye, Bok Soon, and So Takeyuki.
Overall it was an amazing and educational movie, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wishes to find out a bit more about the Japanese colonisation of Korea. (Spirits' Homecoming is another one to watch for that reason, but it is very jarring.)

First off, if there's anything at all that you should watch this movie for, then it's the scenery. It's so breathtakingly beautiful, almost like a painting.
The plot is quite interesting, and kinda makes me wanting to get back into gaming. Not that I would actually do that though, since I've got my hands full with all these movies and dramas.
Bei Wei-Wei is a great character, and I love her sharp tongue. Xiao Nai is extremely sweet, but seems too perfect to be true. For some reason that's a flaw in my mind. His friends are pretty funny too, and so are Wei-Wei's, but I never actually learned their names.
Overall, it's a sweet story, but I don't see any plot twists so it seems a little plain.
I loved it though.

This movie is very educational and a must-watch, but take some time before watching it to prepare yourself. I don't think I will be watching this again time soon.
