Try Mysterious Lotus Casebook! It’s usually a bit less spooky and more humorous but also has mysterious cases to be solved, and it‘s really great with memorable characters one grows very fond of. In terms of creepy atmosphere, My Journey to You is great.

I‘m 100% sure that he won‘t be violently raping a sobbing and screaming 14 year old FL all night every night in the drama! The character in the novel is despicable, so I‘m ignoring the novel completely and treating the drama as its own thing. I also love LYN and think the character he‘s going to portray is going to be a very different person. I loved the trailer, and arranged marriage among enemies is my favorite trope, so I‘m looking forward to it!
Why is this labelled as “romance” genre?? There’s nothing romantic about it. Both leads are people full of hate who dislike and want to either kill or use each other. While the audience is sometimes tricked into believing there is some feeling there, we are always quickly disillusioned and find out there was an ulterior motive, no love or affection involved.

I think she was in shock because she realized she will have to kill her entire family now because her stepmother will never believe it was an accident. Together with growingup known to be an ill omen who will bring death to her family and her future husband… she must think maybe it was true all along, and that she’s now destined to bring death to Yunxi and Lingzhen, as well. That’s why she said she’s not sure if she can be a good mother.
