This had every chance to be the most intense and chilling drama ever… and yet it completely fumbled it. The cast, though, was phenomenal—they basically carried the entire show on their shoulders.
Did Kim Do Gi overcome his PTSD by the end of season 1? I don’t remember him having any panic attacks or PTSD symptoms in season 2. I don’t remember him actually overcoming it too?

True the rom coms themselves might be badly written... but he’s the one choosing them. If he picked better scripts the outcome would likely be different.
