a masterpiece .

the perfect one sentence description for this drama would be don't judge a drama by it's summary.now, the main parts-

story-it's a very simple, beautifully described one year journey of a murderer in a prison.now one may question how can it be beautiful after all its the jail or prison we are talking about.but no.it is beautiful. after all who would have thought even in a small cell in a nasty prison something called family can be build.but this family doesn't contain mom,dad,children.it contains friends,companions,supporters,brothers.

at first you may not understand what is happening but as the story develops everything blends in very well.you will understand why those things are happening what are happening.you will understand how those prisoners became prisoner.also that not all the prisoners are bad.like some are but not our main characters.they are the most innocent prisoners in my opinion(yes innocent and also prisoner)

the story i believe has two parts like first part is in a detention center with the main lead and different characters and the second and main part in the Penitentiary with the main characters .

what is the best about this story is that even though it has main lead in my opinion every single person in this drama is the main character .why ?because the story describes everyone's story very well.though the main lead's story is the main but others characters had their own stories which were important as well.

acting-mind blowing .that's why i gave it a 10.everyone was a pro but i basically loved the acting of looney (if you watch the drama you will understand).he beautifully portrayed both of the character of looney and han yang (they are the same person). also our something in the rain main lead -it was great to see him play a totally different character this time.

music- the ost was good.i know many people will mention that but what i want to mention are the songs played on the radio during the drama. they are beautiful.i loved how every time they were lying down to sleep and a song was played in the radio which went with the situation very well.so a salute to those songs as well.and also the music of whisteling which was played every time when something funny would happen was good.

rewatch value- i may not watch the whole drama again (that's why it's a 5)but i will watch the moments over 1000 times so a 10 (if that counts)

over all -it doesn't have a melo or tragedy or drama genre it's a slice of life drama.there will be times when you will smile,cry but most importantly there will be times when you will laugh as hell.
now the things i want to mention -
loved - jae hyuk and joon ho's friendship( nomu chhowa),looney and captain yoo's fights and bickerings,kaist and looney's bickering and how they taunt each other and most importantly everything.
i mean there is nothing to hate in this drama
if you watch this drama you will understand that you either love this drama as hell and get many inspiration from it or you feel it's too boring to watch.(if you feel the second way it's a waste that you didn't understood this drama's value)

an unusual but practical & realistic ( though a comedy ) drama

so .........Hi ! let's get into the drama review . so where should I starts ..ummmm .oh yeah

so this is a very unusual drama . A drama that many people might not like as the story it focuses on is a little unusual . But there is soo much in this drama that deciding this is not your cup of tea without watching at least one episode of it will be a bit sad . ( TMI - I took lessons from the drama bout what you can expect or might face during & after pregnancy :P )

story - so the story focuses on the after birth situation of the parents & those around them in a birth care center like the name of the drama suggests . Now you probably read the synopsis & know about the overall story so i won't be writing more .

acting - now acting of each of the actors are mind blowing . Though they are not pretty famous faces or " hallyu " stars But those who watch dramas very often might know these faces well .Every single one of them are veterans ( though we have 2/3 new faces ) . The dads showed how pitiful they were in front of their wives & their deadly mood swings very well . The moms portrayed the happiness , the pain , the sacrifices so well that one can easily empathies with them

music - now i didn't focus on the osts of the drama which shows why i gave it a low rating .

okay now let's get to the point - the reason i kept the story section short is because if i say my perspective in the story section it will give too much depth which i wanted to save for here . our main character ( one of the many ) hyunjin is a working lady who got pregnant at a late age . It's not like she didn't prepare for the baby but the way she prepared is different from other moms which is why she felt out of place or couldn't agree with the other moms in the center on many topics . she often lost confidence in herself , often questioned herself and her capabilities of being a mother . there were many types of moms in the center ( everyone different from each other ) & they all showed different types of moms & situations .
there was a mom who was all perfect in front of others but in the inside she was broken who lost herself while devoting her everything for her family , there was a mom who had a baby who was very sick & might not survive , there was an actress who gained weight during pregnancy & faced alot of backlash due to this causing her some complications during giving birth , there was a single mother & many more . So all of them showed different kinds of situations & how moms in all of these situations in real life may feel .
This drama also gives insights of the stereotypes there are in the society which everyone believe a mother should follow ?? .It also rises voice against many controversial topics surrounding motherhood .To be honest if i hadn't watch the drama i wouldn't have know there are so many things a mother faces while giving birth & bringing the baby up ( especially in the very beginning of motherhood ) . It's not like pop the baby out & that's it . there is so much more to it . Also do yoon was a very nice hubby . He might seem like a paboo but he is very patient with mood swings of hyunjin & often become her pillar of support which became one of the reasons why i found his character very cute .
so like i was saying this is a very realistic drama though it has MANY comical moments . I know there are many viewers who like to watch dramas that actually make sense .So this is perfect for them . Especially the women . I don't know if the guys will like the drama but if they do ; my respect to them .

now what i said in the long passage above is not even half of the actual drama . So my suggestion is - watch it ( at least 1 episode ) then judge it . I know many of us don't wanna waste time in watching a useless drama thus reading reviews from others to judge. But sometimes there is so much going in a drama that are hard to write in a review . Also I wrote many of the things you can expect from the drama but if I spoil too much you might lose the hype of watching it cause if i write like she faced problem in breastfeeding the baby , she had an intense fight with another mom to appoint a sitter for her baby, the "all perfect" mom kept bringing up stereotypes & how housewives bring their babies well & kept looking down on hyunjin as she decided she will be working mom BLAH BLAH BLAH & many more . See how there is no fun to spoil the exact way it is in the drama .

moral of the review - Try it out . It's very realistic ( & contains many funny , can empathies with moments ) . DON'T watch the clips of the drama cause since they are CLIPS they have no heads or legs just 2/3 min scenes which might often not make sense & they are weird . But if you watch the drama those scenes are actually very funny & will make sense

okay.hello.this is my first time writing a review.please overlook the mistakes.

firstly,things i loved-everything......
things i hated-nothing except for the evil characters.
story-well,a woman whose face and body changes once a month and a man who can't remember faces.huh, seems very complicated as for their love story.but trust me it is awesome.you won't feel bored for a second .In every single episode you will be rolling on the bed from laughing for hundred times(well, i was).those who are not watching the drama because you have seen the movie but are curious please watch it because though their concept are more or less similar, the drama is totally different from the movie.the script writer slayed it in my opinion.

acting- do i need to say this . ofcourse, it was perfect.all of them are professionals .SHJ was very pretty (especially in the cinderella scene please check that out),LMK no need to say <3,AJH again blessed us with his angelic appearance. I can't name everyone but every actor did their best .also the actors who had special appearance basically own the drama in a way.

music-good,very good.I actually tend to concentrate on the drama while watching . but yeah the osts were good.

rewatch value-yes .I will definitely watch it again in the future.even if I can't watch all 16 episodes , I will obviously watch the moments of it.(can't live without those)

overall-it is pretty good.totally different from the movie (as the movie has a little melo vibe.but it has more rom-com vibe) but it has its own attraction.

okay now the things i want to actually say-loved HSG and SDJ couple .SHJ was an angel.really loved her.well first time watching LMK smiling so much.also maybe joking with a poker face is his speciality .loved the bond between HSG,RYH,YWM .also bromance between JJH and SDJ was one of it's own kind.cried out laughing most of the time HSG changed (especially in front of SDJ's mom and during the cinderella scene).also loved the chemistry and bickerings of YWM and JJH .loved kingkong and sometimes i wonder how it can sense that HSG is near to it.

now thank you for wasting your time by reading this.I am totally sorry if you feel this way. but please watch atleast two episodes of it.then it will obviously become an addiction.

okay,so even though i haven't finished watching this drama but still i thought it was important to write a review on it.first of all the story-it was awesome.I usually don't watch all the episodes of a drama in one go.but this story was so interesting that as i had finished watching one episode i was curious about the next episode or what happens next.it had basically everything i wanted-horror,suspense,flirting,bromance etc. now the only thing i want is a happy ending (if not possible a satisfying ending or an ending that makes sense)

acting-acting wise i thought every actor did their best. no one seemed stiff.even the child actors nailed it.chemistry wise the main three actors were good. i loved how their relationship gets better as the story goes on .

music-well,i usually tend to concentrate on the drama instead of music or ost. but the osts of this drama made it easier for me to feel the horror,suspense etc.so,i loved it.

rewatch value-definitely,i will watch it again. since the episodes are still airing so after all the episodes are aired i will watch it again. but can't tell about the third or fourth time because i usually don't watch a drama more than twice unless i am carving for the moments.

overall-i am not a regular horror watcher.but i still gave it a try and i am glad that i did. so ,if you still don't know if you should watch it or not definitely give it a shot.i believe you won't be disappointed.

i am sorry i needed to write review even without watching the whole drama.
well,when the korean drama industry was way too much obsessed with" rich man and poor woman" concept ,this particular drama did a reverse in roles with rich woman and poor man.
the story -is simple and beautiful .nothing too twisted except for the MFL's in-laws.two people meet in an unknown city,makes beautiful memory and says goodbye without knowing that after this their lives are gonna be tangled together and then they meet again, that's how their story begins.simple story but still addictive on it's own way.

visual-(10/10)i am sorry i needed to add this here.cause this drama is probably one of the dramas with best scenario of 2018.

acting-NO NEED TO SAY.THIS IS A DRAMA WITH PROFESSIONAL ACTORS.(lol)park bogum's smile is enough for me to melt and song hye kyo is so beautiful.her acting is so flawless that u can't help feeling sorry for her character.also it's not possible to mention every single actor so i will say they all did very well in playing their role.

music-good.(especially the background song during the sunset scene at ep 1)[spoiler]

overall-Nice.definitely needed this kinda (soothing) drama before the end of the year.u will understand if u watch it.

now the things i loved-EVERYTHING.especially,park bogum's smile,song hye kyo's asking -do u have some money?
things i hated-nothing until now .i first hated the in-laws but now i believe this is what makes the story interesting(i mean come on we need a villain ,right?)
