How's the editing and directing now? Is it getting better now than first few eps?
The plot is moving quite slowly and predictably, especially the last few episodes. .. If I was binging it I would have given up. It's not bad, it's just not great either.
It's badly edited and cut down I think. That time in the tower is supposed to be years.
Xianxia is my favourite genre! There's usually 1 great xianxia per year and it usually airs in July/August. You've missed out on 3 major xianxias: • Ancient Love Poetry • Eternal Love of Dream •Love & Destiny Try these!
Btw if you like xianxia, wuxia is a great genre too. Try: • Legend of Fuyao • Ever Night • Princess Silver • Joy of Life • Sword Snow Stride • The Flame's Daughter

I've watched the 30 aired episodes. Let's put it like this, it's not the best drama ever, however, it's watchable and I have nothing better to watch right now. I had a look at your watchlist and I can recommend some far better dramas from the last few years in a similar genre. Are you into this kind of genre? Fantasy, gods, mythological creatures? Or what are your fav themes?
Because they've edited it badly. Personally I think they should have done it differently. Either lengthening the first part to make the progress and character development feel more gradual. Supposedly they were in that tower for years together?! Or doing it like brief flashbacks from Su Mo's perspective while he is on his journey back.
Thank you for your explanation, but I don't see this interaction the same way as you... Debarti's dislike is her/their opinion, which we are all entitled to. You may find it unnecessary or stupid because you disagree, that's also your opinion. Neither is more or less valid. The only disrespect and offensive comments I'm seeing are directed at her/them, which I find unnecessary. Dislike is subjective. Like is also subjective. Dislike in itself is not disrespectful or offensive, unless you're a super fan who feels the need to enforce your own opinion on everyone else and find someone's dislike of what you love "offensive". You called her a "brat" just for saying that she, personally, doesn't like Ren Jia Lun and doesn't find him attractive. So...? Is there no actor or actress out there you don't find attractive or find overrated that everyone else adores? I can think of a few for myself and also people who I find attractive that others don't....
To be honest, for me, I understand why Su Mo reacted that way. To hear this from the person he hates the most,…
Sigh... instead of just casting blame, maybe consider reflecting on what reaction your manner of communicating has on others and why they end up responding to you as I have... I think I illustrated in several examples why you provoked this reaction in me. Enough of this unnecessary drama. Goodbye.

You say you're not defensive but that reply in itself proves the opposite... 🤷♀️ Because you jumped to defend yourself and tell me to chill right back like it was some kind of insult after just reading the first line of what I wrote. That's the very definition of defensive mate.
What I was trying to convey to you was that I wasn't trying to fight you or something. You said "I choose to stick to my opinion no matter what others say or think". That comes across as defensive and prickly, as if I'm attacking you when I'm not.
"I guess I made it clear that she was UNINTENTIONALLY shrewd and selfish" This also comes across as if you're irritated as if I haven't understood you, when I simply have a different perspective and don't agree...
Anyway, whatever, just wanted to explain if it wasn't clear. Have a good day.

I also think his reaction was valid. Who wouldn't be shocked by that kind of information? I personally think Bai Ying was preparing to tell him when they left Jiuyi Shan, she had already said she had something big to tell him, but they were in the middle of a crisis, it wasn't the best timing for a heavy conversation like that. I also think she was scared to tell him and didn't know how... I suspect they will discuss it in the next episode...!

You're coming across as a bit defensive, we're just exchanging thoughts and perspectives, not arguing (or at least that's not my intention)... Chill.✌
I'm confused why you said "Btw didn't I already mention that Su Mo will cool down later?" I never said you didn't... 🤔 I mentioned it in context of what I was saying... After all, he cools down pretty much right away after he storms off and has a chance to sit down and reflect. Btw, I am not comparing Su Mo to other C drama MLs, (I've also been watching C dramas and wuxia for years), I'm just comparing it to his prior behaviour, that's why I said it was out of character and why I think the sword may have influenced him like it did in the cave when he first picked it up on top of the genuine shock that his one true love is going to die and she hadn't told him, of course... But we'll have to wait and see how that story progresses...! 🙂
Btw, I understood what you said but I don't really think one can be unintentionally shrewd or selfish. I don't see her that way, but whatever, each to their own...! It's all good. ✌
