The 2nd couple creeps me out. The boy looks like 14. I had to look up the real age of the actor. The teacher looks…
The drastic looking age gap between the 2nd leads is one of the only things I remember from the first watch back in August. It creeped me out too. I think it was more that the older guy was took on such a guardian role towards the younger one and so it was creepy that he would be romantically interested in him when he was like a parental figure. It just didn't sit right with me. It wasn't only their supposed ages, although that did play a role, it was more their dynamic that bothered me.
I watched 4 of the 5 episodes when it first came out before it was taken down. I remember skipping through them and then didn't bother watching the 5th one once I knew it was being taken down before the end. I'm on the fence about starting again. I would have to since I remember nothing aside from the 2nd couple looking very different in terms of age and that bothering me. Is it worth it? Maybe I should wait for more of it to air, I don't know.
ENOUGH WITH THE STEP BROTHER AND ADOPTED BROTHER THING, IT'S GROSS!! The fact that I even have to say this is ridiculous. Why has this gotten so out of hand? Taiwan are the number one offenders here but Thailand doesn't get off scot-free. Please stop with the incestual relationships labelled as forbidden love. It's not forbidden love, they are related, they are siblings, it is incest!
Okay, I went down a rabbit hole tryin to answer this question and it's a bit of a complicated answer. The original…
It focuses on her story, so to speak, which is about their friendship. It focuses on them as a package, I guess, and their friendship story. It doesn't focus solely on her, it's about them. At least that's what I can guess from the synopsis elsewhere and what some people have said below.
How is the movie related to the drama? Are they essentially the same story in different formats - one movie format…
Okay, I went down a rabbit hole tryin to answer this question and it's a bit of a complicated answer.
The original novel of sorts is broken down into 4 stories one of which is Jae-Hee, that is the one that has been made into a movie. The drama will adapt all 4 stories into one with them having changed Jae-Hee's name to Mi-Ae.
Thing is, I’m with you up to a point. I’m also against romanticising adoptive siblings… except, these two…
Fair, but the way I see it is that she was adopted into the family and the twin brother is part of that family. Whether or not he lived with him, he is the twin of the older one, hence he is a part of the family by blood and therefore her adoptive brother as she was adopted into the family. He shared a womb with the older brother, they're related. Whether or not you see it that way, I guess it's on a per person basis. For me I just can't see past that. Maybe they're not related (her and the twin) legally due to him being long lost or whatever, but he's still part of the family by blood and, this sounds weird, but her adoptive brother by blood. Again. that's just me. At least someone else can agree about the older brother being a problem.
I agree with your feelings towards this trope, and it is definitely overused in all of cdrama land, lol. But below…
If you're okay with watching it then I hope you enjoy it but there is something about this trope that just gets under my skin regardless of any arguments towards the contrary including:
Argument: There are no feelings of romance between them/ this isn't what they want. My counterargument: It doesn't matter, they're still legally getting married and will be referred to as married but they are still siblings. The grandmother is hella creepy for wanting this btw.
Argument: They're basically strangers. My counterargument: If someone had a long lost biological brother that they just found out about at age 30, would it be okay for them to get married. No, they are siblings. This doesn't change just because they are adoptive.
Literally any argument anyone could ever give me would result in my response of: "I don't care what their feelings are, they are related, they are siblings, this should not be happening, this is incest."
I'm not coming to attack you at all, I appreciate your points, I just have a very strong opinion in this regard for some reason. I hope this didn't come across as aggressive, I didn't intend it to, I just started typing and got a bit carried away. Thanks for taking the time to read my comment and I appreciate you replying to me.
I haven't read through the comments here but has anyone pointed out the fact that the ML and FL are related. Regardless of which version she ends up with, assuming she ends up with one, they are both her adoptive brother, i.e. HER BROTHER. I don't know what it is with these people ignoring the fact that step-siblings and adoptive siblings are still related to you and should therefore NEVER be romantically considered. This is such a weird and creepy trend. STOP IT!
Do not ask me why I did this because it doesn’t matter but I decided to go back to episode one and I noticed something very obvious with their uniforms about 6 minutes in.
For the purposes of this, I’m saying that the uniforms contain three elements: Their name, the school logo, and the dots on the collar.
I’m going to let the guys in the background who have 0/3 of the items on their shirts and are merely wearing plain blue shirts go because they’re extras but let’s address the three who have names.
Pluem (main character): Only his name 1/3. Knonprot (main character): Only his name 1/3. Jess (NOT a main character): 3/3.
The care put into this is actually in the negatives. You’d think they would prioritize the main characters but then again, you’d think they would care and they clearly don’t so...
I've found two places online that may or may not be right but they're saying episode 1 gets released on April 20, not sure if that is in anyway accurate but I thought I would share regardless.
Picture this: You're are a surgeon and have just diagnosed a very young boy with cancer. His mother has blown up at you and things have become physical. You now leave the room distraught. You lift your eyes to the person in front of you and he smiles...
BUT the person is Achi and his smile is CREEPY AS ALL HELL and now you're not only upset but also frightened by the figure before you!
*Khem combs like the same three strands of Wela's hair over and over*
*He leans in and whispers* "I want to smell you all night..."
Ummmmm... slightly serial killer-y. If I was in that situation, I'm making a run for it. I mean, maybe Wela didn't move because the 'freeze' part of his 'fight, flight, or freeze' response activated and not the 'fight' or 'flight' parts.
I think it's the same with musicians when they see actors pretending to play an instrument. If it's so obviously…
Whenever I find fake piano playing in shows, I send the clips to my friend who plays the piano and he has said, "they hurt my soul." So, yeah, similar boat.
Okay, this is really random but as a former dancer this just bugged me. POINT YOUR DAMN TOES!
I looked it up to see if maybe aerialists don't point their toes but they do so it's bugging me. In no way do I expect this actor to be perfect and it is completely understandable that he would not but the dancer in me just yelled the entire time. Just so we're clear, I am not criticizing the actor and I admire all the hard work they put into this, I'm just fussy and I focus on really random and inconsequential things.
Anyways, I enjoyed this episode regardless but just had to share that as it has been haunting me ever since...

This is the best I could do. Hope this helps!

TLDR, stop with the incest.
