OK. I can see your point. But, as I stated before, does this now mean that when a person says "no" they don't…
I want to make sure you understand that I wholly agree with you. But there are a lot of people on this thread who want to censor what others say because it "offends" them. One is bent out of shape because I said the couch scene was "hot," which to them naturally means that I think real-life rape is hot. Jesus.

Getting drunk on set is extremely unprofessional and dangerous. The actor is essentially out of control and anything…
Thanks for that. In almost every one of the instances in the list at the link you shared, you will read about how the drinking caused trouble on the set. A good number of the people on that list have discussed their substance abuse problems publicly. Many of them have trouble getting work because of their known problems with booze on the set. Shi LeBeouof is probably the worst case. Aside from all of that, I just think that if you have to use booze to prepare for a scene you are not a very good actor. Just my opinion.

Only thing I've been judging is Sam's decision to get wasted on set to play the drunk scene. What's worse is the director encouraging it. If you think it's cool to get literally drunk on set, then you know little about professional acting.

Perhaps international fans just have higher standards for what is appropriate on a film set and what is a cheap, lazy short-cut to do a scene you ought to be able to do sober. There has been nothing on this thread that is critical of Sam's personal life, at least none that I noticed. It is all related to on-set behavior and statements made in promotional interviews.

What other scene in the episode was "rapey?" And you just go right ahead and report my ass, I don't care. I challenge you to point out any comment of mine that is deserving of being deleted. I use very little profanity, I just state my opinions aggressively and you don't like it. You're one of those people who think others should be silenced because you disagree with them. "offensive..." lol You offend me with your stupid comments. I think I will report you.

I have to disagree. I feel strongly that a capable, committed actor should be able to portray states of drunkenness…
I'll ask again, moron, how do you know the characters are 30 years old? Sure as hell don't look it. Sam said he was drunk himself, so I guess that was one of my delusions.

I don''t care what you think of me or my comments. Don't read them.

Oh, and who am I "jealous" of? lol

I beg to disagree. From the tone of your comment, I think you liked the scene a lot, much more than you'd like to admit. The way you write about Shi De's mental state is spot-on and you were obviously deeply moved by it. LOTS of things happen in dramas that we don't like; that's the point of a drama. If you spend the entire show in a comfortable state, what is the use of anything happening at all. For there to be light, there has to be darkness too. That's what makes dramatic story-telling so engaging!

Links to info about all these actors who work drunk please? Sam and the director said he drank THREE OR FOUR large glasses of whiskey. He was hammered. Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and Johnny Depp are notoriously difficult to work with in Hollywood. It wouldn't surprise me if that were true, and I'm sure it has cost them work. How many films have you seen of late starring any of the three?

Totally disagree with you. Drunk equals out of control, not necessarily physically violent. Are you saying your drunk dad was in control of his mental faculties and emotions when he was wasted? A professional actor needs to be in control of all those things to do his or her job well.

I'll say it again: The couch scene was hot as hell and I'm sure a LOT of other people agree. If you're such a delicate flower regarding forced sex being portrayed in entertainment media, you need to stay away from BLs in particular and intense dramas in general. It is not a rare plot point. Your use of the word "triggered" is a give-away. You want to force your politically correct opinions onto story-telling. I'm glad that will never happen.

Again, what the hell are you doing watching BLs? Also, the couch scene included ZERO graphic sex, no clothes came off, and there was no forced sex or rape. That's what makes the fact that it was hot/sexy kind of impressive; the actors did a great job of portraying intense sexual atmosphere with their faces, eyes, etc. There was definitely the idea that something sexual MIGHT happen in the air, but nothing did or did you not notice?

As for all your other insults, I don't give a shit what you think. The feeling is more than mutual. I'll write what I choose. I don't come to message boards to make friends, I have those in real life.

BTW, the couch scene was HOT AS HELL.

I LOVE that plot choice. Very powerful and engaging and fascinating. I don't' think they had sex btw.

Then don't watch it. Non-consensual sex happens in real life, just like murder, robbery, kidnapping, extortion,…
Yikes sounds like I need to check my profile settings. lol I just checked and I definitely have a working set of male genitalia. A "lady-boy" is a person, and I see this primarily in Filipino BLs, who is male and gay, acts EXTREMELY effeminate and often dresses as a woman though it is clear to an observer that they are male. They are usually teens or in their early 20s. I don't know what you graduate to being when you're too old to be a lady-boy any more. :D

I can think of two BLs where rape was portrayed as a drunken, gray-area incident and the parties involved eventually became lovers. I have seen many others where the assailant pays a high price.

What does "ig" mean?

Since the next scene didn't tell us when ShuYi went to ShiDe's office, the situation can be easily explained.…
Overhearing a conversation not meant for a character is NOT a BL cliche? What BLs are you watching?

I'm talking about the age of the actor, moron. What the hell does "from college to 5 yrs." mean? That actor is NOT a convincing 32 year old character. Shu Yi and She Di,, for that matter, look like college kids playing corporate executives. lol

How much are you paid by the production company? lol You say you get all of this. My reply is FIVE YEARS, NO COMMUNICATION…
And the explanation, for god's sake, will be ridiculous, just like Shi De sitting on the roof waiting to overhear Shu Yi's conversation with his assistant while he was supposed to be getting breakfast for Shu Yi.

No one got raped, or did you not notice that? I don't think they even had sex. I don't care if you think I'm worked up or ridiculous, OK? Don't read my comments. Problem solved.

Also, I can guarantee you most audience members found the couch scene hot. A lot of them are afraid to admit it because of prudes and sex-negative people like you. Sexual assault takes place in real life. It is a powerful plot point in many, many films, plays, books, you name it. Deal with it.
