I didn't watch Hospital Playlist because of the lack of romance.

I’ve just started this drama, but reading all the comments with words like slow burn, slice of life, and very little romance has me a bit concerned. Still, I’m curious to see how it plays out.

And yet, I notice there’s no mention of romance anywhere in your review. That’s a little concerning for me, since romance often adds an emotional depth and balance to slice of life or workplace dramas. Without it, I worry the story might feel a bit flat and boring.

Why is the first scene in episode 1, where the FL dies, different from the same scene shown again at the end of episode 5? They’re similar, but not identical. What’s the reason for the differences?

I wasn’t referring to this specific drama. I was speaking about dramas in general.

That’s interesting, because I feel like in most dramas it’s the ML who devotes his entire life to the FL. He’s out here simping like crazy, chasing her, doing everything for her, getting rejected and humiliated, and she treats him like garbage half the time. Meanwhile, she’s got a whole fan club of male characters orbiting her, and we’re supposed to believe she’s the one sacrificing everything? Come on.

So is there romance or not?

Nope, didn't get that far. Dropped it on episode 10. Awful drama.

What a shame, this drama could've been really good. But then, from episode 8 It was like 2 different shows. The first half was fantastic, then I just lost interest after all that nonsense involving the evil spirit. The show became less about the leads and more about the evil spirit. I dropped it halfway through episode 10. Current rating 8.6?? What a joke.

If one episode a day feels painful, just wait until the show’s finished and binge it properly. No delays, no drama, literally.

I just finished Episode 8, and it’s been really good so far. I’m enjoying how the romance is developing. I’m not a fan of the whole evil spirit inside the ML also having feelings for the FL. Now we’ve got the SML, ML, and a vengeful spirit all romantically drawn to her. I get that she’s the FL, but come on, she’s not exactly a supermodel or the most stunning woman on earth. That’s not even the main issue, though. I just don’t like the idea of an evil spirit catching feelings. It feels kind of ridiculous. Hopefully that subplot doesn’t drag on too long. Anyway, let’s see how things unfold from here.

The prolonged hostility toward his character overstayed its welcome. It dragged the pacing enough that I found myself skipping scenes at times. The series could’ve wrapped up in 30 episodes, stretching it to 40 felt excessive. That said, overall, it was good.
