On HIStory3: Make Our Days Count Jun 14, 2020
After avoiding this drama ever since it ended I finally went back to rewatch the final episode yesterday. I think the first (and only other) time I watched it, I was so anxious from wondering about Yu Xi Gu's fate that I didn't pay close attention.

Well, as much as I despise what that final episode did to the series and to the HIStory franchise, I have to say that in that final episode Wayne Song delivered a truly outstanding performance. It's a shame that this got buried in all the outcry over the terrible ending, and I feel bad personally that I waited so long to give it another chance.

Happy ending?
Yes, it is! I've seen people say it's an open ending and I don't get that at all.

When you think of how many years they yearned for one another, and how overwhelmingly fulfilled they must feel with everything finally said and done.

No they're not the same but they're equally clueless as to what audiences expected. I think MODC was trying to be "arty" while 2GTHR was trying to ... well, I don't know really haha.

Title Gameboys
Not as great as the second episode (my favorite episode out of the three episodes) but Episode 3: Strangers Online…
What bothers me about Pearl is that she hasn't established a proper distance from Gav now that they're not dating anymore. I'm friends with one of my exes and I *never* refer to him by an endearment like that, especially in front of someone who I know he's interested in.

When an ex does that, especially in front of a new love interest for a former bf, it subtly says 'He and I have a history, and I'm close to him in a way you're not yet.'

She tells Gav that his bfs always think she's a threat, which tells me she's been acting like this for a while.

That said, I doubt that the writers really mean to imbue the character with this much complexity. The "Babe" thing was probably there just to create a cliffhanger.

After the horrors of MODC and 2GTHR, finally something we can all celebrate!

There's a rumor of a director's cut movie version in the works. I hope that's true!

Joining your site has been my best move all year ... keep up the good work!
I can only guess but here's a couple of possibilities.

1. There are lots of different moderators patrolling the pages and they each have their own idea of what's allowed. I've run into only one of them regarding a tag I submitted for a series and she seemed to have quite a sense of self-importance.

2. MDL gets money from ads and the mod who deleted the comment here might have thought that GagaOOlala was getting free advertising even though I don't think that was their intent.

it was ok....i mean all the fluffy and light feelings were ok...i guess i'm not fangirl/boy-ing enuff to go crazy…
I'm about 5 episodes in now and the FL is by far the weakest member of the cast -- and I assume she is a trained professional. She's playing the character like she's 14 years old and it is OD annoying. The guys are all doing really well though.

The brothers are definitely the heart and soul of this drama. There's a fan-made music video on YouTube for the song 'Remember' that depicts their relationship so well. I still watch it occasionally and it still chokes me up. You've probably seen it -- it has millions of views.

I agree that Lee Hyun is like the king of self-centeredness haha but to me it's more on a professional level than looking out for his own interests. The character strikes me as someone who could easily go through life never dating anyone at all.

The scene where she discouraged her boss (as I think about it maybe it was one of her peers) from going after the break-in assailant takes place when they are driving in the car together. The series uses flashbacks or something like that to depict her thought process, and although I can't remember exactly what is shown I know it made me think there was romantic intent.

Another loony thing she did was break into the serial killer's house to look for evidence. He caught her and nearly killed her, and what I remember about that was thinking it would be okay with me if he did. (I knew there was no chance though.) In the US, the picture book she found there would be thrown out of court because it had been obtained illegally. Gosh, she really needed to go back to police school lol.

I'm two episodes in and of all the unbelievable things about this drama I think the most unbelievable is that the infantile FL is 23 years old. When she said that I just about fell out of my chair.

And whose idea was it that the color of blushing cheeks is hot pink?

I don't get why people are hating on the FL.... this is one of my favs by her, it makes me sad to see the hate…
It's been a long time since I watched this but I'm one of those people who thought she was terrible and ultimately unnecessary. (I suspect the first draft of the script was sent back to the screenwriter with a demand for a romance of some kind.)

I can recall two things offhand.

First, she discouraged her boss from pursuing the guy who broke into her house and attacked her, just so she could keep staying with Lee Hyun. Second, after Lee Hyun gave the lecture at the university and was approached by a troubled student who was clearly distraught and desperately needed to talk to him, she stood off to the side getting all upset over the fact that Lee Hyun wasn't paying attention to her instead.

So, the first showed that as a cop she was incompetent and self-centered (and possibly in violation of ethics) while the second showed that as a person she lacked empathy and again confirmed that she was self-centered.

That's in the final episode.
