You missed some of her shows? I loved her since Maid's Revenge and Forever Love, went back to have a quick look at other dramas too. She is lovely in any outfit, ancient costume or modern white summer dress like in Rainkissed Fate.
Of course, I also like Dai Gaozheng and now some other guys like Jesse Ren: they have stage presence and charisma.

Presently having my daily dose of laughs and fun with the surprisingly excellent FILTER drama, starring Tan Jianci and Landi Li. Rush to watch it if it is still not on your screen. And if you like it as much as I do, spread the good word for it, since that is one drama that did not get the deserved hype!

Am going with the flow, anticipating surprises and more endearing fun and laughs at each episodes. I don't want to spoil myself with preview clips and advance descriptions.

This is too good : pure enjoyment, and one reason more to love JC-T and Li Landi and to take notice of their sidekicks Gao Hanru and Huang Sirui or incarnations Luo Qiuyun, Pu Tao, etc. Not to forget the names of the wonderful writer Tong Hua and excellent director Chen Yuejin, who have created this gem of a drama.

(I plan to rewatch someday not too far away My Fairy Doctor which also featured a magic bracelet. It was in my recollection a relaxing short episodes series which I started and liked, but did not take seriously enough at the time to include it on my MDL watch list. I also ought to explore more of the original creations of the writer Tong Hua, which became so successful).

It's not her fault if the filter bangle is stuck to her wrist.
To accept herself as beautiful and at least as shrewd as Tang Qi, she needs some apologies and proof that she is not a nobody in the eyes of most (except Lin Miao and her new friend at work).
She has been bullied since childhood and even within her own family, into insecure feelings that have caused her to give up on the possibility of tender feelings.
The filter is an unwelcome accessory that Tang Qi was fleetingly made aware of so she needed to hide it, and everything has often involuntary causes and effects to push her and him into having to change attitudes towards others and ultimately their fated relationship.

It's very funny that SCC went to these elaborate lengths to use the "death" card again + in episode 21, Tang Qi himself mirrors her in going to "kill off" the illusion, through pinning the comic strip picture on a dart board and throwing darts at QST's jugulary vein on the pic. His basilisk stare almost disappointed that the picture did not spray fake blood on his carpet !! 🤣

Tang Qi is very shrewd, checking the existence and "death" of QST the "live action like" cartoon character, with the local police! 🤣 🤣 🤣 Ah, the lawyer sister had not foreseen that twist?

Wonderful drama showing how different perspectives can be, and how easily biased people and audience can become, taking sides and venturing to throw blame and aspersion instead of wishing for a peaceful solution (which will surely come).

Come on, the logical minded Tang Qi is not a wimp who can let emotions (especially delusions, as he realized) take over : he beat himself for realizing how cold-hearted he was at switching object of desire so swiftly after the "death" of Su Miao! He is slowly realizing things are not perfect about himself and that's why it hurts, but it is not a deep trauma, skin deep at most.
He was never in love with Quan Shen Tang, only wanting to expose the connection to the mysterious actions and not wholly accepted "care" from SCC who he still views with a dark filter in his mind. Now that his cold brain and basilisk stare have gotten back in full force, will he realize that pushing off SCC like he did (and still does) has hurt her, and caused a mysterious higher power to intervene with the supernatural "updates", and that he is co-responsible for his own "misery" ? SCC would like to escape the tangled web and be left alone, having given up (or tried to give up) on her love at first sight for TQ.
We still have 11 episodes left to enjoy the Tom and Jerry like hilarious play.

Loving this drama!

Yes and no: now the ever upgrading filter can project SCC on one other person at short distance (5 m). But SCC had to filter herself into the Soul detective "son" of Lin Miao's imagination. And she needed a tool to make the voices different.
This plot is convoluted but the logic is good and thrilling!

Best drama of 2025.

Agree : it's a gem of a drama. Perhaps best one I watched for entertainment since start of 2025 or longer ! Let's rave about it on other platforms too !

ah yes, that too! This drama is so good and fast paced !
So good that I am re-watching ep19 with the fairy tale cure and ep20 with the "killing off" superfluous character, and next the scramble to catch TQ before he tumbles down, while at the same time catching stuff that might knock the "granny" and visitor down.
TQ is both angry and puzzled that SCC probably toyed with him and at the same time protects him. Will his cold and logical brain kill off the feelings that his heart can't help have for his "fated" one? Gu Yu has come to almost same conclusion, but is he ready to jilt Lin Miao for her being an accomplice of SCC?
Suspense is still on, and there's 11 more episodes to go 😂

Episode 21 is a game changer. The cat and mice have changed faces 😂😂🤣🤣
Loving this show which comes up with so many fun disguises !

Netfllix has a page listing c-dramas : https://www.netflix.com/fr-en/browse/genre/107556 That'll give you an idea. But like for Amazon Prime, they don't keep shows forever in catalogue. So if you want to watch the 2022 RESET (15 episodes drama starring Bai Jingting and Zhao Jinmai) you'd better turn to Viki, a platform which houses many favorite c-dramas with good English subtitles.

I can't see that the novelist Zhu Yi could have such clout that she could influence foreign platforms to show the dramas inspired from her work, lol! No, but the drama was clearly going to appeal to audiences abroad, and The First Frost, being in same universe, was bound to attract both fans of HL and curious people.

That movie is difficult to find. It's titled alternatively "Under One Person" or "The Traveler" and was released last year.

Yes, she was not yet 7 years old when her father died. The Gifs I created (and screenshots I included on the Mini Profile) link to footage of her young life with her mom (a Yunnan Han ecology worker), Vanda's sister, godsister, and to her father's work, a picture of Josef Margraf's daughters paying respects on his grave ; the other pictures and GIF on the page link to more info, too.

I dug into her data on a whim, so have only spent a couple of days on that exploration, but I wondered why, despite old footage from the 2010s was still available, her news became scarce; her Instagram accounts were discontinued, and her self proclaimed fans (she does not seem to have an active organized fandom with fan names and meetings) ceased to post much recently.
Recent news of interest were not totally easy to find, except the New years commercials. She has, like all pretty celebs, already suffered from a short-lived rumor about an unlikely relationship (imo. big Fake can virtually be stamped on that. No reason then to go cyber-bullying and suppressing the actress and model). Her dancing and singing is not in the league of idol worshiping and I did not spot other outstanding talents in arts, sciences, or sports, in her case. But she has some stage presence as an actress and model + her short interview about her acceptance to take hits in ipMan4 (it was a rough act: she ended up having nosebleed for the first time of her life!) shows someone who is serious about her work.
