There’s just no chemistry between this Ma Rong actress & Zhou Yi Wei. Not just her, even the other sidekick seems so boring that I don’t even remember his name 😪

I do like Ma Rong’s character and yes, actually I don’t have a big problem with Ma Rong being changed into a female even though I prefer that they don’t. I do agree that the actress is a miscast.

I would be concerned if I were him and his studio because I’ve seen a pattern of actors getting cancelled or even soft banned for unfounded rumors and slanders when their popularity rises.

I think that’s because technically Shang Wei did kill her family although under the emperor’s order. She’s afraid that SYZ will be killed by Amai one day. She doesn’t trust Amai. Unless there’s a bigger reason we don’t know yet. I still believe the emperor had ordered it because Shang Wei is not that kind of person who would kill innocent lives if he had a choice.
