He got overwhelmed by the miserable life he lived. His first love only used him and didn’t mean it when she said she would choose him. Plus he fell out of favour with the king because of her.

For a plot like this, what do you consider a happy ending? Because a main character kills himself but it’s not a morally upright person, and life goes on unchanged; what remains is yearning for the one who left without warning.

I do like his character though, it’s painfully realistic. He thinking getting married is the solution to the obvious problems they have just because they were once in love.

And how we saw with the opening scene that their relationship can be explosive but it’s not enough. And he didn’t even realise they hadn’t slept together in half a year and he wants to get married still? Is this a marriage at gun point? 😭

He literally said she is his motivation to stay in his job. And every time he wants to quit, she’s the reason why he doesn’t, that read to me he’s not happy working, but because they can’t both be in the state of not being put together, that’s why he’s stuck in it and that’s why he feel the need to micromanage her life because low-key he’s resentful

Do we have to be so put together all the time even in our relationships? The very point of being in one is to have someone who you can be happy, sad and down in the dumps with.

But if she feels like even while struggling to make it, all his solution is is to micromanage, then she’s right to say she doesn’t want to get married to him
