Was the tone all over the place for anyone else? I went in blind and i'm not sure what it's trying to be lol.
I think the tone was intentional as a the audit team is. All over the place with the character introductions and setting the tone for the rest of this drama. Up and down like the episode name said.
My takeaway of the theme is equality and hierarchy, like we were told, and what better way to tell than how the characters were introduced. The female lead is written how men usually are, great at her job, beloved and scary, and firm.
Male lead is good at his job and cushy, but what was that scene at the end..,
I’m familiar with the case this drama (and many others) was based on but the Wikipedia article in English doesn’t…
I found this helpful YouTube video in English, and the reminder it took 33 years for this case and all the details to be pieced together is still deeply disturbing
It has pictures of the kids involved but never the bodies; it was censored but the victims are named and the suspects pictures are there(even the one unfairly persecuted) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wVri4gn4wrc
what are the thing around their wrist that shows their emotions I don't get it is that a real thing
It’s a watch that records emotions. It’s still in the beta stage and they’re the testers. it’s logged and they discuss improvement. That’s why his hunger is being read inaccurately and Eun-A’s emotions of self destruction was not recognised
The study will help in fine tuning the technology for it to be released to everyone. I haven’t heard of one irl
The almost murder didn’t take away from the comedy but it’s giving it a layered approach.
This drama is touching on a very sensitive subject, and the tonal jump is necessary to not be dismissive (in my opinion)

I hope we have some AO3 writers here who should make spinoff so we can continue feeding on content
So Eun-A saying she can fight them means she’s going to make an effort with Dong-Man so he succeeds and they eat their words
