To be honest the sad ending was predictable from the moment the doctor who prepared the antidote for him was killed.
On the other hand Life is made of choices and Yan Zijing chose to clear the name of his Clan instead of getting the antidote. Yes . It was sad but morally it was right for him to act the way he did. Did he regret his actions? Yes and no. Yes he regretted the fact that he could not live and be happy with DuanWu but on the other hand all his life wanted to revenge the death of his Family and clear his name. Yan Zijing wanted Su Muzhe / DuanWu to have everything she wanted and she got everything except a happy Life together with him. Eventually he left as he did not want her to see him dying. He wanted her to remember him as mighty as he used to be. Why am I saying that he left her right before the exihibition ? If you were attentive you would have seen her wear his ring , the one with blue stone. I believe that was the love token he gave her as a symbol of his love for her. He belonged to her as much as she was his.....and yes she was sad and could not smile or be happy when she received the greatest honour to be the Chief of the Guild. How could she be happy when her lover was dying? Since he could not see the world the way they both dreamt of ,DuanWu travelled for 40 years across the mountains and seas and saw the World for him too. Isn't this a great love story?
Sad though beautiful ending. I shed lots of tears like I 'm sure you did also. This story has a special place in my heart and Liu Yuning and ZhaoLusi will be always remembered as Master Yan and DuanWu from the Story of Pearl Girl. 💛💛💛

It's no only good ending drama she must act, after all she said she wants to take on diverse and challenging roles. And I love her so I must stick with her no matter the roles she takes.....
I am going to watch it because It's Lusi, even if everyone dies..I just love that girl. After watching and crying 😂. I will go back and watch hidden Love 💕 and calm myself ✌️
