Thanu is in denial. He knows who he is destined to be with, but he has convinced himself that his need to protect Wayu is actually love. Those kind of relationships never work out.

I agree about Tar and Nuea having their own show. There is so much to explore there. I like the kid that plays Nuea, some of his scenes were really believable
