I know Day and Itt's story is messed up and not funny but the scene with Day's friend reacting to their nonsense was hilarious. Like, I'm just gonna goooo... 🤣

I just find it a little suss that I often see people excusing toxic male character behavior but not tolerating similar behavior in women. I think even calling Doona toxic is reductive. She's complex, clearly dealing with mental health issues and one of the most interesting drama characters I've seen in a while.

I almost skipped this one because the synopsis seemed to similar to another J drama from earlier this year but I'm so glad I didn't. The whole drama is almost nothing but cliches but they're all hitting me in the feels. Also Yuki's actor is deceptively good. at first I thought he was too stiff but that's really just his character. you can really see his talent when his character acts in the show

I don't remember the episode number she gets her sight back but she spends more of the drama being able to see

I binged all the available episodes today and I'm hooked. My kind of toxicity and angst. My theory is that Ming only smiles around Tong because now in a weird way Tong reminds Ming of Joe. So Tong is now Joe's stand-in. Hence: My Stand-In. I haven't read the source material so I don't know if I'm off or not.

Queen of Bland is the perfect name for her. She could be replaced by a plank of wood and it would probably give a more interesting performance.

in pretty much any other drama a year long separation at the end would infuriate me. It's usually lazy and pointless. But having them spend time apart is the only thing that makes sense and fits for the FL. she needed to figure out who she was as her own person first.

I go back and forth about whether the show was trying to be camp or if that was just a happy accident. I didn't read or watch any promotional materials so I'm only going off what I see.

Anyone's list will be subjective. For me it's about whether I can watch all their scenes and I have to fast forward a lot of his. Part of it is the character is repulsive but the line delivery also makes me cringe so hard.

Every so often the show does a sex scene that is actually hot (like Prom and Nont) so you know they are capable....and then....we get scenes like THAT and I can only ask whyyyyyy?!
