I realized at the end it was tying into the plot, since the divorce and him going up the mountain to get her reveals…
Read an article that the director introduced this divorce to show that the ML is not perfect. Well, there are many other smarter ways to show a character is not perfect without using this old and stale play in these dramas.
Episode 30, around 15:45, reminds me of silent era exaggerations. π
Good grief, it's year 2026, vast majority people know these things don't happen in real life. Really wish Chinese and South Korean dramas would stop these nonsense scenes.
Sorry, don't remember. It was mentioned here in the comments about some controversies about the original actor. That is why they replaced him after the production was completed from what I vaguely remember.
Not rush job but budget issues! This drama was made with low budget in the first place, n didn't have money to…
Not familiar with the issues, just what I read here in the comments. I stated facts, didn't write anything negative. But, if I did offend you, then I apologize.
The editing of the replacement actor, Li Xin Ze for the Wang Ruo Hai character looks like a rush job. It looks like the technology they would have used 40 years ago.
In some scenes his head and body looks so big as if they tried to cover the old actor with it. And, it really is evident that it is an add on, rather than a reshoot. Again, with modern technology addons are not an issue, but here it really does look outdated and hurriedly done.
Also, the voice-over recording sounds really bad. Louder than other voices and deeper with some echoing. Sound very unnatural.
Didn't mean to compare, just note how it differs- Lishan Academy. It is an academy open by Ye Liβs maternal…
Thank you for your detailed explanation, very inciteful. From your description I came to understanding that the drama is very loosely based on the novel, as if it is a new novel π
I don't know about Chinese actors, but it's a thing in Japan where they, both celebrities and ordinary people,…
Yes, same here in the US. My ex was in dental field so I am a bit familiar with dental issues, not much though.
My older daughter has braces and it wasn't expensive. And, that was some 20 years ago.
No set of teeth are naturally perfect, but I noticed that with Japanese and older Chinese actors crooked teeth were more pronounced. I always wondered the reasons behind it. Was it genetics, diet, etc. or combination of.
MDL should have stopped it a long time ago, but they don't seem to care. So... Long term, though, it makes no…
Liked the first paragraph π
I was a coder myself and do understand intricacies of coding, including Oracle database. But, really this change is a simple IF statement. Anyways, like you said, the powers are not interested otherwise they would have made the change long time ago. BTW, the coder is the main person on MDL. He/she decides about the changes.
How is it possible to rate unaired episodes? It's so annoying besides being unethical. MDL, do better and prevent this practice. Good grief, it's a simple coding fix.
This drama was truly a perfect ten for me. There was not one single moment or scene that I thought I wished it was not there or I needed to fast forward.
For me it felt very realistic. The way they presented the lives and the cases. I never felt there was something that was over the top or unreal.
I really loved the actor Lee Chang Hoon's portrayal of Dr Ryu Jae Hwi character. What a superb actor.
I am actually surprised that this drama doesn't have a higher score. It really should be at least a 9,
Episode 30 is nothing but bunch of lazy entertainment writing where intelligent people become dumb as a rock in an instance.

Liked your website and bio. You are one cool person. Good luck with all your ambitions and doings. I am also a naturalized citizen π

It's not just the low ratings, but any ratings for unaired episodes, including the "10" ratings. I really do not understand why MDL does not fix it.
