Zexin is basically sick and dying soon so he left probably thinking he could get himself treated n come back but once he realized the risk was high he decided not to get an operation and live the rest of his natural life with Amur.

For the confused folks in the comments let me explain the plot Amur is a vet who owns a guesthouse in an isolated grassland. His only friends being his pet dog and the person who delivers supplies to his guesthouse. One day his dog goes missing and doesn’t return for days. Amur is worried but continues to wait for it's return thinking it'd return soon as it usually does. That day an injured hiker shows up at his door step. Amur takes him in and treats him. He gets to know that the guy's name was Lei Zexin a Singaporean traveler of chinese descent who was here sightseeing. Soon Amur and Lei Zexin grow closer over the course of the treatment and Zexin decides to spend the rest of his vacation in the calm guesthouse with Amur. Feelings grow and Amur and Zexin fall in love❤️ but it wouldn't last long.
Turns out Zexin was sick and had cerebral vascular malformation. He had come to the grasslands to check things off his bucket list before he died. His late father had once told him that "you haven't lived life if you haven't went to a grassland" so he decided to visit a grassland in china, his father's homeland but unfortunately as he was camping by a lake he was attacked by a pack of wolves. Just when he was about to lose hope, he was saved by a dog. Later some people passing by helped him but he couldn't save the dog as it got dragged by the pack of wolves. The only thing left with him was it's collar using which he found the guesthouse and decided to repay it's owner.
Zexin was guilty for being the cause of Amur's dog's death and now that he was about to die he didn't want to hurt him even more and decided to leave the guesthouse. Amur realizing this begs him to stay but Zexin doesn't budge. He confesses the truth that he lied to Amur that he was lost and that he was the reason his dog died which finally makes Amur let go of Zexin. For him his dog was not just a pet but a friend and family in that lonely guesthouse and now he had lost both his lover and family.
After Zexin left Amur finds a farewell letter from Zexin in his room saying how much he loved him and how he wished he could spend the rest of his life with him. Tears well up and Amur decides to leave the grasslands and follow his lover. As he's on his way to meet Zexin he gets a call from an unknown number. It was a doctor, asking him about a missing patient called Zexin. The doctor tells him that Zexin was extremely sick and required immediate operation but the moment he got to know about the risks he ran away and could die any moment and that he had no family and had only provided Amur's contact to the hospital and left with a note saying "he'd like to spend the last of his natural days with his loved one"
Amur immediately returns back to the guesthouse looking for Zexin but he only finds a tomb built for his dog. Thinking Zexin was no more he lost composure and began digging the tomb as his friend stopped him. Soon they hear sound of horse's footsteps, they turn to look. It's Zexin. Here to spend the last of his natural days with his lover. THE END😭
I feel they need to update the drama description cz i was 👌 close to skipping this gem.

I think u can root for Fah he is the best of the bunch🤭 for now. Toh is not desperate for **** he just loved jimmy cz he only saw the good side of jimmy not the player side n thinks he could change him.

Last episode i was kinda giving jimmy a benifit of doubt but today nah🙃. Like Teh kept his promise and paid for what he did to jimmy. Teh slept with Jimmy's crush and jimmy with teh's brother. That was kinda even and should have ended there... but Jimmy is probably the worst of the bunch. He still called Toh after that and slept with him🙄 while teh was keeping his promise.

why are the ratings going down, i mean in the start i would somewhat understand that people are not connecting…
Cz the flow is kinda off. Yes it's a suspense drama and there are things they should hide but story telling is kinda off. As i watch this drama i get more irritated than curious so i kinda get why the rating is going down. I started with a high rating too🙃 now i feel everything is just a little too much, story is all over the place, there are things that are morally off. The only plus i see here is that I'm not able to guess who the murderer is
