Okay this drama really had soo much potential just with the plot twist i can say there were issues with the execution. It's good but could have been exceptional.
I never expected her to be the killer🙃. There were 0 hints but my guess about BP not being the real son was right but i thought real BP and TP died together🙃 idk how i missed that.
I just don't understand TT's (fake BP) father Thun like how did he let his son get hypnotized n live like that🙄. Also TT is a nice kid so i think he'd have agreed to pretend to be BP to save the mom's life if they just told him the truth.
That random ass singing made me laugh. Like what the hell was the director or writer thinking. Atleast add a backstory to that song like it comforts him or it's their thing. There's a sad scene and suddenly they start singing😆. The story is such a gem the screenwriter and director fucked up lol.
Its a 10 episode drama so it could be like Ep 1 - BP gets this random diary from his BF and when he goes to investigate it he gets framed for a murder Ep 2 - His BF gets him out of the case (showing subtle hints that TK was faking it ), past reminiscence and relationship deepening Ep 3 - falling in love reveal that TB is TK Ep 4 - betrayal and guilt for loving his dead BF's brother (ik he doesn't remember his BF but just the thought is kinda disgusting. Ur BF's brother took advantage of ur amnesia and got intimate with u that's not normal) Ep 5 - conversation and coming in terms deciding to start fresh Ep 6 - falling in love again, suspecting something is weird about BP's memories and actions once he is in contact with his family Ep 7 - informing BP about this suspension and BP looking into it Ep 8 - reveal that BP's family killed TP and BP feeling guilty TK comforting Ep 9 - serial killer reveal, truth behind BP memory loss reveal Ep 10 - truth behind TP death reveal and happy ending
They should have done this instead of those filler episodes in the middle. They should have added more emotional depth to the drama and it'd be just 🤌🤌🤌🤌

Dao is the doctor's daughter and her mom has trust issues. She thinks BP's mom is having an affair with her husband and takes her life. Dao (doesn't seem mentally stable) blames her dad for the mom's death but when he refuses that he never cheated she doesn't believe him and kills him in rage. Instead of blaming herself for becoming an orphan she blames BP's mom and decides to put the whole family behind bars. She tries to reopen the dad's case but that doesn't work. Grandma stops her so instead she uses the maid's from BP's house to send him TP's diary. Kills him cz he's a witness and also to frame BP for murder but TK shows up and her plan fails. Now the maid (the dead guy's mom) was also part of this plan. She kills her to clean up the witness. Now that none of her plans worked she frames TT's (Thontharn or book) father and decides to kill the mom and grandmother. (Over the years she had taken over all the workers in their house. Now they're under her. ) she drugs both mom and grandma but TT was a surprise. So she kidnaps him too.
But the reality was her dad never actually cheated. Mom misunderstood. BP is not BP but hes TT who is Thun's son. Who was sworn brother to BP but cz they were soo similar the mom goes crazy after BP's death and mistakes TT for BP. the grandma then uses hypnosis to make TT think he's BP.
That was beautiful. Although i did want north and phoon's brother's interaction from the novel this is good too.. loved the ending and slight changes they've made. I just realized the reason its called "beside the sky" is cz the story is told from Phoon's pov and fah is his sky so this was the story oh him ending up or being beside his sky🤭🤭 took me wayy long to realise that. I was like why is it named like this
Finally its over😭😭 this was soo scary that i gathered the courage i didnt have to finish it cz i watched ep 1 n was curious how it ends😭😭 i shouldn't have assumed it'd not be scary cz i watched khemjira. Finally a happy ending!!!! N no one died. I thought king and darin would.

I don't understand the high rating🙃 i just finished 2 episodes n i don't see this going anywhere. It's a 7 episode drama so i was expecting something fast paced. I have watched other chinese mini dramas which are a lot better than this one. The location is the only thing thats good about this one. The background music doesn't match the scenes they're just played randomly. The actors faces are barely visible it's 99% wide shots barely any closeups or any emotional buildup.
The story is about a guy falling for his brother's classmate okay. But soo many things just don't make sense. Also the tiny subtitles are annoying me. Overall disappointed 🙃
Edit: finished the whole drama. The story was an absolute mess. I initially was gonna watch the side story but now no thank. This is an absolute disaster. Good cinematography? Where? It's good location. The cinematography sucked. The actors had soo much potential u could see that in some scenes. Who the hell picked those fonts🙃 i get the idea they were going for but nope that font is definitely not easy to read. Sigh I've not been this disappointed since "doctor's mine". I'm usually generous in my rating but this was an absolute disaster hyped in the comments
When people said this has one the best love triangle plot they were not lying.
Usually in other dramas they just fall for someone cz of 1 incident but here there was a valid reason for the unrequited love😌 well lets see how it goes. I've already spoiled myself with the endgame for my mental peace

I dont think they put it in for us to like Jimmy but to show jimmy unknowingly likes and cares for Toh and soon Toh will be the end of his player era😆😆😆
Fah is officially my favorite character ❤️ He rejected Jim and was always clear about his relationship status with Jim and Teh. No mind games. He showed Toh who Jim really was and also told Teh to stop interfering cz if Toh didn't stop seeing Jim there was nothing they could do and the only way to do that is him getting hurt and leaving him❤️❤️❤️ n he's that one friend every person needs. In the promo he even asked Toh to direct his love towards someone who's worth it not towards someone like Jim who sees it as a something that'd be there no matter how he treats it.
Even Teh thank god he told Fah about he truth i was expecting him to stay quiet like in Toh's case.
I can't wait for Toh to leave jim and jim begging for his love🤭 i hope we have a really good redemption era. But yeah i don't understand Toh like why does he crave love? He has a brother who loves him soo much but he's still soo desperate for love. I do feel bad for him but not much cz he's doing this to himself. If he didnt knew the truth and blindly was with him I'd probably be devastated.
