Her character is just not that bright and mostly naive. WR can most certainly handle the DNA test request and make a decision on his own. There is absolutely no reason to keep it secret from him. Right now she has taken away his agency for no reason and played in to her own son and MR's enemies hands. She is one of the most frustrating characters for me because she is constantly making very poor decisions.
Of course, NY wants to make the Han family situation all about her and SJ. She will take the road of evil. I hope…
