Lmao im catching up and at 55 and ya still the same youd think after 4 years away working on revenge shed have…
I am on 44 and this has been one of the most frustrating revenge dramas I have ever seen. Any time something happens that gives her the slightest bit of stress she loses it. Visible hand clenching, tears, screaming, facing getting hard, anyone can see and hear that they are getting under her skin.
What can one say about our ethically pure, sloth like, clueless ML who never sees anything coming, has no response when challenged except he seems to always hope for the best while doing as little as possible to make that outcome possible.
I don't think I have ever seen a FL once in revenge mode so utterly terrible with keeping her composure, and an ML who never has an answer to anything.
I picked this one up after dropping it for Queen's House. I am on episode 25.
My thoughts so far are that both the FL and ML talk a good tough game about their desire to avenge their loved ones. However, their execution so far does not live up to their tough talk.
The FL is obviously suffering greatly from the loss of her daughter. I am not blaming her for suffering mentally from that, but she should at least recognize that it is a weakness for her, and she should not just say she is fine when she is not. She also knows the 2nd ML knows who she is and is taunting her, yet she reacts to his taunts and shows that they get under her skin every single time.
The ML is working at a cutthroat company, yet gets on his soapbox, lectures them about ethics, and has very weak responses to the 2nd ML's obvious lack of ethics and morals. He has also been underperforming for four years, putting himself at risk of being exposed and sacked for not living up to his reputation.
I do love the hate between the evil sisters, although they have an easier job just having to be terrible people.
Anyway, I have a ways to go to catch up. I know how these dramas work, and the leads will survive despite what I perceive as their ineptitude so far.
Milica is a crazy bitch, block him. He's a disgusting, bigoted, SEXIST pig. He always insults FLs and actresses.
He was and is a condescending troll to everyone. I put up with his nonsense for way too long and just couldn't take it anymore. The comment sections are no fun when we don't respect opinions different than our own. It's not that hard really to state how you see things differently than another without berating the other person or their point of view.
I don't know if it's just me, but I felt that Jae in seemed kinder to Teo than she was towards DY. She always…
I viewed it the same way. It was like she was totally clueless about how Theo's attention towards her looked or could have been perceived by DY, knowing he was interested in her. Her brother picked up on it, and that's why he tried to play Cupid.
The seal/stamp thing is stupid. You mean someone can just take that and change documents? No id verification or…
I think in Japan it's even worse with the stamp thing. You can have your drivers license, pass port and a note from you mom but it's your seal/stamp that matters.
It's the final day for us in the Queen's Court (before we head to the garden party of Graceful Liars on Monday)I…
I hate the love triangle tropes with a passion.
I am not sure why the writers decided to turn a potential love triangle into a love square when the triangle was already working.
The friction between Do Yun, who wanted a relationship with Jae In, and Gi Chan, who wanted her back, made sense in the context of the drama. The introduction of Theo as a romantic rival spoiled it. Not to mention, it only really bothered Do Yun.
I think they had enough material to explore Theo's search for what really happened with his sister, his son, and dealing with Se Ri's craziness. It really didn't work for me to have him show up as late in the drama as he did and have time for flirting with Jae In.
So, GC just gives Ji-ho to Theo, and tells Ji-ho to go with him - practically a total stranger - and that mom…
They could do away with some of those meaningless filler scenes to connect things and make significant things make sense but they don't. For example did really need 2 scenes about beds? .
I just can't forget how cruel Gi Chan was to his bio son. Keeping his mother from him, ignoring his pleas to see her, and being directly responsible for his death as a result of his ugly conduct. In my opinion, he was not a good dad and latched on to Ji Ho out of guilt more than love.
