On Moonlit Reunion Aug 13, 2025
Since there are so much info and clips for promotion of the drama these days and the number of comments increases exponentially too. It has become difficult to trace back those comments sharing the links, videos etc. I made this folder in the discussion section. May you kindly post your links there too. Thus, it will be much easier to look back the material later. https://mydramalist.com/discussions/696033-mei-fu-ren-chong-fu-ri-chang/144164-clips-video-and-material-for-drama-promotion

Saw someone that it will air in wetv Indonesia.. I envy you guys 😭😭😭 Why can't wetv just air it to all…
As far as I know, the drama will be broadcast on VEON TV in Vietnam and Disney+ in several regions. I guess selling the copyright to other platforms is more profitable for Limon Picture.

On Fire Investigator Jul 31, 2025
From Xu Kai's interview on Arena Homme+ July 2025, Content about Fire Investigator:
Xu Kai shared, “Especially Fire Investigator — it’s truly the first realistic drama I’ve taken on. Filming it was anything but easy.” Both projects had their moments of joy, but “each came with its own kind of exhaustion.”
With Fire Investigator, the exhaustion was primarily physical — Xu Kai had to investigate the truth behind each case under extremely harsh conditions. On one hand, there was the physical toll; on the other, it required a solid base of extensive knowledge. Though the fire scenes were recreations, in order to achieve authenticity, the production team burned down an actual abandoned site and then constructed the filming set on top of the ashes. Even with professional-grade masks, Xu Kai often found himself rinsing soot out of his nose at the end of each shoot day.
...
Fire Investigator is that childhood dream every boy has about becoming a firefighting hero. That’s a kind of core message that can be easily incorporated into the story.

Title Eight Hundred Spoiler
Xu Kai's share about Within 800 m and his character - Chen Hui on Arena Homme+ 7/2025
Immersing in a character is much the same. As an actor, he presents a person’s life — or a fragment of it — along a pre-designed trajectory. Not long before this interview, Xu Kai had just wrapped filming for his new project Eight Hundred Meters. In the film, he plays Chen Hui — a young man from a small town who once lived a joyful life with a happy family. But as the gears of destiny turned, he was forced onto a winding path — one misstep leading to another.
“I want to try playing a character who keeps resisting fate, even when he knows it’s already been decided,” Xu Kai says. For him, the experience matters more than winning or losing. The character’s story arc is filled with dramatic turns, and when it came time to act, he found the process “mentally exhausting.” “It was truly, deeply heartbreaking,” he adds.
Three months on set left him with countless moments etched into memory. “From the moment Chen Hui stepped into crime, it was one step after another down into the abyss.” The 20-episode script is tightly constructed, packed with twists and turns that come one after another
The film posed a major psychological challenge for Xu Kai — how to portray a mental breakdown during the act of wrongdoing, and a sense of helpless confusion upon returning to a clear-headed state.. Even when the director had said “OK,” he often asked for another take in pursuit of something more polished and satisfying.
Xu Kai described the experience as “immensely satisfying.” For him, it was a completely new challenge — a role for which none of his previous experience could offer any help. He watched a great number of documentaries, from those on psychology to criminal case files, to enrich the character.
“From the moment he made an unintentional mistake, he began to suffer from insomnia, nightmares, panic, helplessness, trembling, and avoidance in his gaze whenever he saw his father or anyone else… then came the anxiety, and finally, a calm and clear-headed approach to dealing with everything.” Drawing from real-life events and individuals, Xu Kai constructed a layered and progressive psychological arc for the character.
