Right after I read the news that XK would played Han Ting and some doubt about the suitability (HT is more matured and older than XK) I read the novel. After reading the novel and seeing some BTS scenes, I still think that drama HT is younger and less serious than novel HT. The novel HT is really elite guy, super concentrate on work and career, well planned and disciplined. He doesn't do house work, cooking etc. However, the drama HT looks more down to earth (the BTS in the kitchen, it's HT to cook, not JT as in the novel), having pet cat, more youthful. I saw many points which are not in the novel.

THE bts and shortcut from that or GIF image which focuses on his hand caressing her back is better than the edited scene in the drama

Novel Han Ting speaks perfect Beijiing accent. He made joke on FL’s accent occasionally

Shiqi (means 17) is his called name. Lang is a kind of addressing word for young man used between people with close relationship

In BCE, YZM went abroad with his family at the age of 7 (he is 32, his father left China 25 years ago)
In ABAY, according to the novel Han Ting studied and worked in Germany for 5 years. It is not mentioned if he had studied elsewhere before. Han Ting in the novel is same age with YZM (both 32 year old)

If you skipped many scenes (especially those with the mother) you may miss the reason why she became such person, thought and behaved as such

She and her perfect husband (2022, with XK in it) is set in Shang Hai too.

Although I like XK, I would not want to compare his performance in particular role and assume other actor might not be as good as him. We will never know how Dylan Wang, YY or others will postray YZM. The only thing is assured is YZM by Xukai is unique and make many viewers understand his story, feel the real character of the drama and admire his acting in this role

this clip is quite strange since it mixed up some scenes/material related to other drama such as Wonderland of love and the Tencent's award ceremony

in term of screen time, XK's screen time in BCE is on par with his in SAHPH. His screen time in Court lady is also very low

I am surprised that he was director of The Legends too. That one had very messy ending, very poor editing at the end.

For sure that this one doesn't have the ending like AJTL (sorry I haven't watched it but just heard the tragic event)
