I think she purposely took this role to show her acting range. She’s always in comedic roles and being the easy going and kind of dumb character sometimes. Here, she outdid herself. Kudos to her.

There was a reason. Moving into a newly built apartment immediately. Apparently it’s a thing, particularly in China, that you can get deathly sick from moving into a just completely building. You have to buy some form of chemical and put it in and let it stay empty for some time. I saw this in a Chinese Couple video online. All the Chinese comments were giving this advice. So, it’s not exactly a karma thing. If you notice, they mentioned that each person who bought a house/apartment were buying used ones. I think it was to prepare for this scene.

So, new buildings in China can be toxic for your health.

What a show!Beautiful story telling and great cast. I know people didn’t like that the cast were changed too early, but this didn’t change the story for me. Such a matured and well thought out show. A 10 for me.

Yes, on one hand it’s convenient writing, on the other hand, life and death situation, in real life, usually heals and brings families together. So, it is not out of place that the family ended on this note.

This is the guy who didn’t give a F even when he knew 4th sister had a big crush on him. Pretended he didn’t know why she was mad at him. I mean everyone one knows when someone is crushing on them talk more of people that close. The tone of the letters she wrote him was very obvious too. To him, she is an after thought option(obvious in the later episodes with his action once his preferred wife returned.

It’s 5th sister she was going to give away because her husband wouldn’t acknowledge her at first (born by C-section and his wife almost died). Also, gave her own surname (Liu).

True. The mother I do not understand at all. But, this drama is true to life. Some mothers, especially those with lots of kids tend to be biased to their kids and show it too. In conservative times like the one shown in this drama, it was even considered normal.
I think it’s because with so many kids, the woman couldn’t bond with any except the last one which she had the time to raise herself. If she had a 7th one, I’m sure that one will be her favourite 🤭. See how she had all them close in age except the first and 2nd. Also, she didn’t raise the 1st. The grandma did and only brought her when she was 10. How will they even be close.

The 6th sister is the most entitled arse, gosh 🤦

I didn’t. I just didn’t connect that her dropping earlier caused her to be a human baby instead of an 18 year old like her sister. Thanks for clarifying.
