Picked up this drama randomly, and before I knew it, I’ve watched 20 episodes. It mixes humour in serious and painful situations. Love the cast, especially the mum.
This was a really good watch. I guess the whole death thing was a ruse between the ML and FL. Considering their conversations about how he let her wait too long, it can be deduced that it was all planned.
The only thing I didn’t really like was that his “resurrection” was not fleshed out. Adding 2 scenes addressing it, especially giving him closure about who actually poisoned him and his true bloodline, would have been enough. They gave too much time to feel-good scenes with the son and the couple and forgot about tying the story properly together.
Picked up this show randomly, and I must say it fulfilled its need. A classic rom-com with all the cliches, but I loved it anyway. I will miss all the cast members.
Ok, I loved the "season " of this show that I saved this for later. I started it and it felt off. Names are different and I was looking for the family that I loved so much in season 1. Sadly, this isn't a season 2. This is a whole new drama with familiar faces of some casts from the first Hilarious Family drama.

This is literally what he said. His father punished him with the "poisoned wine" because he saw him as disposable. No one knew the wine wasn't poisoned at the time it was given. Only after it was drunk that everyone realised it was a punishment and warning by their father.

But it was explained that the reason he went after the CP was that the Emperor, their father, punished him (when he gave me the fake poisoned drink meant for his wife). He felt their father uses him and didn't care for him, and so the way to get back at their father, is to attack the son he loves the most (the precious one). This was what made him finally remove the pretentious mask.
Also, he was always a schemer. The wife is the one who revealed it all. When there was an attack and his wife was blamed, it was actually him who orchestrated it.
In fact, in the show, all the princes are scheming for power. Some are overt about their actions and others are subtle.
This was a very unique Korean drama for me. I have never watched this genre in Korean drama before. It is completely binge worthy. I was wholly captivated throughout the 8 episodes.
I am definitely up for a season 2, if it will have any.
Initially, this show was quite good. Then halfway through, they started going round in circles just to get to 32 episodes, and this kind of ruined the show a bit. Too many unnecessary stories that led nowhere or shouldn't even be there in the first place (because they could not tie it into the main storyline). Anyway, I managed to finish it, so it is not all bad, I guess.
I’m not yet up to ep.25. However, they could have shown what happened in ep.25 earlier. They didn’t have to drag the show all the way to ep.25 to move it forward. That’s my take on the merry-go-round they are doing.
I know they have more story to tell in the show, it’s quite obvious. But doing things that aren’t moving the plot forward just to then tell the story much later in future episodes, is a strategy to get it to 32 episodes. Which isn’t very good to be honest. It ruins the shows enjoyment for me.
Tbh I really don't see what's so "wrong" and why everyone seems to be complaining so much. I finished…
Everything is not hate or bitterness, people are allowed to have different opinions. It is an artistic work after all.
If you can't see how the plot is suddenly stagnant. that's fine, you have different tastes in your appreciation of artistic works. For me, the plot is stagnant.
Gosh! What happened to this once beautiful show. I feel like I am in a merry-go-round with no progress or growth, and I've developed a headache. The producers are definitely reaching for that 32 episodes even if its completely unnecessary 🤦!
breath of fresh air :) (I first watched the ML in Glory, and now he has a completely different personality I can't…
Yes. He’s quite good here. So much better than in Glory. It seems modern day dramas are his forte. Or more like idol dramas are not his thing (which is a great thing to be honest).
Well usually they know it’s a female disguised as man. In the legend of the female General he found quick she…
In the Female General there was already attraction, with the way he looking at her and paying attention, before he knew (the water scene later on) and then in this show, he was already feeling attracted to her as a man (which was what he was struggling with initially), before the Crown Prince asked him to go find out for sure if she was male or female.
Love the cast, especially the mum.

Dropped. Not what I thought.
