This show should be called Saint Xiao ChungSheng, because ML was written like a saint with no boundaries.
Also, last episodes were totally unnecessary and drama could have rounded off earlier. It caused them to repeat storylines and add unnecessary plot lines.

Anyway, a decent drama and aside from the above complaints, I reasonably enjoyed the show.

Coming back to rant again. There are some relationships that we have to cut off and move on no matter what. This show failed in portraying this real life scenario.
How can one suffer betrayal from the sesame set of people over and over again, and somehow the victim is such a great person (Saint even) to keep the same people close to him. To even have access to his secrets. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

Big script flaw here. Don’t even get me started with the 20 years of lusting and yearning over someone. Unrealistic.

Like I said, writing a ML Character that is a saint, is my problem with this show. How many times do people, even so called close friends, have to betray you for you to keep bringing them back and working with them.
This is not realistic at all. It’s rinse and repeat. Almost like a filler to elongate the show. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

I hate when C-dramas write Lead Characters that are saints and sacrificial. Like WTF is with it and ML always excusing so called ā€œbest friendsā€ that stab him in the back. And still maintain friendships with them.
That’s not real life. That is just writing some saviour character.

I can’t believe I missed this when it aired. I’ve been binge watching it and it’s so good. Reminds of the just concluded drama, ā€œThe Lead - äø»č§’ā€.

What happened to ML in the end?
Yes, she did. Like i said, the FL had more sourness than sweetness.

Finally completed this show. It held my full attention up until episode 44. The tone kind of changed and it focused less on the FL and somehow filled the scenes with her Uncle and Aunty Hua. Nothing wrong with it, it just made the bit less interesting.
Also, no more mention of Chu JiaHe and the 2ML anymore.

All in all, the show really depicted life (sweet and sour). To be honest, it depicted more of a sour life. Poor FL had more sorrows than joy.
I hope this is not the average life of people who are famous or in entertainment. It will just be too sad.

Just when they were giving hope with Hong Bing and FL, they snatched it away again. I suspected with that later part of sweetness, it was just a dream.

I didn't like they never mentioned Hongbing's parents and FL's parents again. Instead all the time they spent on her Uncle (which I think was unnecessary, they would have touched on those). Because of this, I felt the ending was wonky and deserved better, especially for the quality they have been giving.

The tone of the last 4 episodes definitely changed. Shifted focus and lost a bit of spark. Guess the viewers are going through life with the FL.

Ah! This show. I think they could have still made it as a couple, but then again the show depicted the reality of so many marriages. Things such as loss or sickness can greatly impact a marriage, and can sadly lead to the end too.

The story so far is captivating. The editing and sequencing of the show, however, leaves one with a headache. I hope it improves and that the bad editing was only done to the earlier episodes in order to reduce the overall episodes of the show.

I never knew people in prison can look so well groomed and impeccable, with lipstick and groomed brows, LOL. The makeup department of this show still has a long way to appropriately represent what characters should actually look like.

This show really shows one how life is. Life gets hard, then it gets easy, then gets hard again, and round and round it goes until we depart. Phew!

Nothing is constant or guaranteed.

Qin E is now 24-almost 25? Qin E is all grown up. Living in the city for 2 years, she is more exposed to the world…
Her hardship started from her family. She was always the neglected child and having a son made it worse. She was never cared for and was the work mule. Even her sister said it to her.
If only parents had the number of kids they could actually afford.
Her family caused her many hardships. It’s sad this part of the issue isn’t even addressed. Instead, it shows FL still yearning for and sending money to her family.

There are people like the 2FL in real life, people who think that they deserve what other people have, and that those people who have it, stole it from them or is blocking them from getting it.
However, they refuse to accept that even without those people, that thing will never ever be theirs.

When 2FL was called to tryout the lead opera role, she couldn’t even do the bending routine and ended up hurting herself. She just didn’t have the flexibility or the technique to excel. Even when they started out back at their county, she also fell short that she asked her parents to transfer her out.

She spends her time feeling jealous and covetous, when all that energy should be spent on being the very best version of herself that her talent allows her.

I’m sure she’s the one who hurt the FL in recent episode. She was the only one to ah e bought the magazine before FL’s family bought all of it out.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to next episodes and finally seeing how HongBing and FL’s being in a relationship looks like.

PS: This drama is absolutely wonderful. The one episode a day is a torture though.

And he is not other group mate he was the first one since childhood who has taken her side always and he goes…
That’s not how love works. He was a coward who decided to ghost the FL instead of speaking to her. He left her heartbroken. He didn’t even say goodbye.
