At first I thought I would like this drama cause of cast members but after some eps I fell in love with everything in this drama and actually from some people I just realized if we could understand some details of this drama (like the way they changed their voices, fl random modern terms, the hidden mockery of film industry and etc) that was more clear to Chinese audience it would be even better but even by understanding half of those this drama showed us a fresh take on traveling to different time/universe and I thank the crew of post production, people behind all the ost and soundtracks and ofc consumes. Gotta give a round of applause to the cast specially yuning and yitong for all those diverse ways of conveying emotions through their facial expressions and amazing acting.
This plot has such a fantastic balance of comedy and tragic but god those sad scenes are so heart breaking they manage to play both type of scenes in the best way possible but whenever they’re crying I feel like my heart is being ripped.
This drama is really different, the cast is indeed likable but I have to give it to the friendship more than romance (though I liked both cp and their chemi, they all were so adorable) the overall plot and sets were really fresh, if they worked a bit more on the last case this one would easily become top of lists but even now it’s a memorable drama for me. (I have to say whenever I felt like dropping or skipping some parts Ao Rui Peng would save the drama for me, his chemi with all of them and ofc his character was just easily likable and so tailored for him) but some specific scenes you could just see how much they worked for this drama, the fighting scenes were really well performed by all of them.
Their chemistry and at times unfiltered interactions are really the spice of the show, the production is indeed strong and well thought out but the cast? They just bring so much joy and laughter as soon as you see them. And god how supportive and caring they all are!
Now that we’re getting closer to the ending I still have a question, each case is divided into two ep right? And is it like this for other two seasons?
I‘m at first episodes can anyone tell me if it gets better? The story telling from the beginning seems a bit…
Ok then Ill keep watching I was really waiting for this one that’s why I got disappointed. But can I nag? What’s wrong with sound effects and filler scenes? I mean I don’t need shattering glasses sound effect to know boy got heart broken (or other stupid sounds)😅
I‘m at first episodes can anyone tell me if it gets better? The story telling from the beginning seems a bit off and the Set designs and clothing/accessories at times look so off putting (it’s so good sometimes and then it gets borderline chaotic) I love this cast but the repetition of boy nearly killing the girl and then heroically saving her is really annoying me.
I loved how the drama was going but the last few episodes left me with more questions than answers and honestly I never say that about a 40 ep drama cause they have lots of time to tell a story but I feel like the ending was not at the same pace as the rest of the drama, it wasn’t necessarily rushed but it didnt have the same quality or better say feel of the other parts (the build up, realizations, betrayals and etc) Still I watched this drama for the cast and they made a masterpiece out of this drama with their acting. (I feel like we needed two more episodes and a bit more of dogxia, or what mission zanghai gave his friends before leaving?, where did liuchu come from?, I would even love to see more of ml and fl I know it’s a political show, so even them working together would be good enough)
Honestly I don’t know what to do, laugh at their shenanigans and back story of characters, focus and solve the case with them or just sit back and enjoy the show and visuals/set designs. Anyways this season has some crazy interesting parts I really like it.
I really liked the characters but omg the plot…seriously? I feel like they wasted a really good cast on a cliche and kinda idiot plot. (And for gods sake who wrote the fl character? Cause we need to talk, her behavior and decisions were so questionable I couldn’t even ignore them cause it was the whole plot…)
That was one of the most intense last episodes of a drama I’ve ever seen!!! what a wonderful drama, sure not perfect but the acting of all the cast and also great work of scriptwriters in delivering the meaning behind this story really made this drama worthy and a memorable drama.
Ep 32: Omg someone come and calm my heart cause did you see how he kowtow in front of his father in law? The amount of respect he has and that in front of all those refugees coming from a land he just defeated not long ago… he’s so humble and the way father felt guilty accepting it, only if he was the city lord… Then their intimate scene in her homeland, that held more meaning that what it showed, he came a long way in trusting her, I remember in one scene she said if you can’t trust me then when we share a bed will you be afraid I have a dagger in hand but now they did it in a place where he was with no one no backup but her, then father kowtow and showing remorse was so touching, and ofc the memorial ceremony and finally getting accepted formally. This ep was so healing for them and even for us as viewers. I really wanna thank the scriptwriters and cast and crew for such a deep and meaningful episode.
Im just watching ep30.I was crying during the exchange b/w XQ and her cousin. I can see both of their sides. And…
That guard needs to get more attention back in Panyi when girly burned the storage and he came to shoot her as soon as Wei Shao told him about what she did for them he saved her the next scene by hitting the arrow nearly hitting her.
Wow ep 30 was so beautifully emotional and heavy, from sudden argue of fl and ml to them fighting in their own battles with the same purpose, the conversation of cousins (loved how they wrote this part, you could easily understand both side and what they want for their lives and what’s their differences) I was on the edge of my seat being worried just like them.
Aside from loving tonight’s kiss scene (which I think we all enjoyed 😍💖), i also really loved the scene…
Honestly the grandma and advisor are such MVPs, each time any of these people act childish or is simply lost they come forward and help them and they do it with such wisdom and care. Cause let’s be honest they’re still so young to figure out everything on their own.
My heart bleeds for them and I really wished I love this drama less but I can’t…despite the tragic last eps, this drama really made me fall for all the cast all over again and wish they come together for other (pls happier) projects. The chemistry and acting of the cast really amazed me from the beginning to the end.
The only thing about this drama that I remember is how much the doctor was lovable and how I liked the actor, Yunlong new drama made me think where else I’ve seen him so I came to remember this, wish to see him more.
