Those two dramas are more suitable for tv. If the overall production is good then it may do well in China. I'm glad he picked serious dramas because at least I can watch it. Rom-com is not my cup of tea.

Not exactly trial scenes but idk what is it called. In the donghua, they showed flashback scenes when the younger generation (trainees) competing with each other. The last one standing will join one of the 3 families.

They cannot make a drama centered on the bad guy, it won't pass the review board. Anime version is double ML.
He's an assasin, so, not exactly a good guy. But in this story he's portrayed as an anti-hero (protecting himself and others from the bad guys)
