Heavily focus on beauty and the main leads are cheaters!

I have watch all versions of this drama. This is the second version that I dropped after giving it 3 chances.

Story: the story was to long. There was a lot of useless scenes. Heavily promoting there sponsors for example the 水CC Cushion. The female and male lead are basically CHEATERS from the very beginning! This pregnant thing didn’t happen by accident, there was a lot of moment that they choose to be together. Male lead didn’t even think about how wrong or horrible he was to Anna by marrying to the female lead.
They didn’t show how much Anna meant to him, it feels like he didn’t care much about Anna either. A girlfriend of many years?? What a joke. He keeps blaming her and that they wrote Anna cannot get pregnant anymore just to make more justice to the leads are disgusting.

Production: In the beginning the female lead is suppose to look awful, but NO her clothes are very fashionable. There are not much difference after her miscarriage change.

Acting: the male lead has most of the time a dead face. Not many expressions. The female lead tried to look unconfident at the beginning. But you could see that a lot of scenes of unconfident that she want to or is confident. So the actress didn’t really get into her character.

It was tough to get through this drama

I watch and finish this drama for Minho. I'm a shawol and to support SHINee members work I gave it a try.
At first I didn't really expect anything about this drama. But after all the delay of the release date I became very excited to be able to watch the drama for Minho and my expectation rises because of all the waiting. They promote this drama as young people trying to succeed in the fashion industry and all. So me thinking maybe I can learn something about fashion, even though I'm not into fashion myself. I also thought to be able to see some character development or growth of these professionals in their workfield. No......... It was just disappointing. You will see tons of brand names passing by for the scenes and some basic or you couldn't even call it basic marketing/PR things.
Then I switch my focus, to see this more as a romance rom-com. Can I see it like that??
I don't know . Personally for me a rom-com has to be sweet, beautiful or have a meaningful love-relationship, but the couple in this drama doesn't has that. It involves cheating, with no regrets. Being a best-friend with your still in love ex-boyfriend. I have know problem for people being friends with their exes, but if you still have feelings for each other don't date other people and stay in contact with this so called "ex" (boy)friend.
Story: If you ask me what the story is.... I will say there is NO Story or a thing call plot. A lot of people say it's a drama with good friendship relationships. I agree but this should not be the main point of the drama, if this is not your selling and promotion point from the start.

The producers and writers could make this whole story less boring by adding more dept to the background of each of these main characters and maybe add more families to turn it into a Sitcom kinda drama. The FL and ML lead relationship could have been a second couple in another drama.

Acting: the story of this drama is so lost, that I could not even care who the casts are. As I said before I watch this drama for Minho. Even though I'm a Shawol I still want to be rational about the acting skills of these actors. Nobody has leave a big impact for me. The FL just acted like any other actresses that act a bubbly, hardworking girl. Minho should polish his acting skills. Even though his character is someone that doesn't show his feeling to others, it still lacks a lot of expressions compare to a normal shy- introverted guy. He basically acted himself with a lot less passion.

Music: Did they have an ost or any music?? I didn't catch any.

Rewatch Value: I will rewatch it as a drama playing in the background for some sound, but will not actively watch it for the story or acting.

Horrible Laughing and remake

I was very excited when I first hear Korea is going to remake My All Time Favorite TWDrama. Even before it was produced. I was hoping that they choose veteran actors to act it well. I was so so happy they choose two amazing actors Jang Na Ra and Jung Hyuk to do this remake.

Story: it was not that intense as the original. Didn’t left a big impact on me. The miscarriage scene wasn’t that sad, because the acting of the male lead was over the top, not naturally on one line with the female lead. They changed the story, in the original: the story is full well written drama with good details with meanings. They made it into another cliche Kdrama with memory loss that this doesn’t even add different levels in the story.

Most of the time Jang Hyuk role laugh for nothing. Really Silly and it’s not Funny at all.

I like the second male lead. I enjoyed his character and acting.

Acting: Jang Na Ra did a good job on her character. Jang Hyuk laugh is killing me the whole time in this drama. IT IS A HORRIBLE LAUGH, I hated it so much I couldn’t even really focus on what’s going on. Straight up SILLY laughing not even funny anymore.

Music: I like the music a lot. The one and only positive point for this drama.

Good Remake of FTLY

This is the only remake of Fated to Love You that I can rewatch. They even change a bit of the story and it was good too.

Story: more episodes than the original, was a bit longer but this Thai remake has it own twist in it and it was delightful, happy, funny and beautiful to watch.

Acting: At first I preferred an other actor and actress to do it, but I gradually enjoy the chemistry between the actors that played the leads. They even become one of my favorite onscreen couple in the Thai entertainment.
Both of them played there character very well. Mint played a very beautiful, caring, less confident lady and Bie played a gentleman with a bit of flaws. Really good and professional acting like it!!

Music: wasn’t my favorite but because of the story and chemistry of the leads I and up finishing the drama.

All Time Favorite TWDrama

Story: It was the first time that I see a character about an unconfident lady as the female lead. It kinda remind me of some people I know. IT IS A MASTERPIECE! Because a lot of really unconfident people can relate to the character. The story is full of different perspectives, personalities of the characters and developed main and supporting roles. Everyone in this Drama has her or his own story to tell.

If you understand the language it will touch your heart. Some lines in this drama are real lesson or what you will or want to hear in life. I CRIED and LAUGHED al lot.

It’s a comedy but also a very realistic well written story. Like the male lead, he is definitely a horrible person, screams a lot and is childish but you can understand because nobody is perfect. More characters are also very well written, developed with different perspective.

Acting: Joe Chen the female lead is a one of the best actress of Taiwan. She did a great job portraying her character as a unconfident lady, you can see it in the little details of her body language . The change between Chen Xin Yi and Elaine is very obvious and different. It’s amazing to see the growth and change.
Supporting roles are amazing! Everyone of the actors and actresses did justice to their roles. From the grandma, to the doctor even the dog acted AMAZING.

Music: the songs are meaningful and it played at the right timing with the scenes. When the female lead cried or when some horrible things is going to happen.

Rewatch value is hundred percent. It’s been 11 years since I first watched this drama. Almost every year I at least re- watch this drama one time. Everytime is a different understanding of the characters in this drama.

Great acting and Fighting scenes

Story: The storyline is a very familiar action type of storyline and is predictable. Like almost every strong female character in an action drama. Most of the time I don't like to predict the drama or story, but this one was to easy to predict. Maybe because it's a very short action drama. The screenwriters, directors, producers really took all the good elements out of an action story that can be find in any action drama and put it in the 8 episodes. The downside for me in this storyline was the love story between FL and ML character. The focus was a lot on the female lead and Pildo's (the female lead's lover ) story was to short or 'weak' to feel his ROLE's importance in this story. It's like a last-minute added LOVE story for the plot and a bit sweetness for this dark/heavy life the female lead had. In my opinion they could have make a LOVE- HATE TO DEAD relationship for the female lead and Choi Mu Jin or Do Gang Jae. The role Jung Tae Ju aka Lee Hak Joo (the right hand of Choi Mu Jin) was very good and loyal.

There was to many parts that got me very confused:
1. Why did Choi Mu Jin the Gang's Leader treats Oh Hye Jin SO..... well, even though she betrayed him? Aren't she supposed to die immediately according to Mu Jin's personality (hate and kill everyone that betrayed him, no matter who it is)?! Somehow I thought he likes her. Why would you motivate and help someone to kill you. At the beginning maybe Choi Mu Jin thought of her father saved him and Oh Hye Jin discipline and determination, but later on it turns weird. Like why didn't he kill the girl and killed Pildo instead, so he could wait for her to come to kill ??
2. The love between Oh Hye Jin and Pildo was not very clear at least FEMALE LEAD didn't so much love towards him, is more like loving someone that understand or have been trough what you've experience. But it could also be a bestfriend type of relationship.
3. The last fight scene: Female Lead shoot so many times, but didn't load her gun at all. How is it possible?

I must say I STAYED till the END of this drama, because of the ACTING!

Acting: THE ACTING WAS ON POINT. First I thought why did they choose an actor that don't look like a gangster, more like a good, happy guy to act the father of the female lead. Then the first thing that catch my eye was the acting of Chang Ryul/ Jang Yool aka DO GANG JAE............ Man this guy is a kind guy but VERY GREEDY FOR POWER that made him so BAD and his CHOICES in life only to climb higher. He was too ambitious, but make so much bad choices. His acting was ON FIRE, one of the best in the drama. I couldn't believe he was a Support Role instead of a Main Character. Wish to see more of this character. First time wanting a "bad" guy/ villain to not die in the serie to continue to look at his AMAZING acting. DO GANG JAE' s look and charisma reminds me of Shin Se Gi (from Kill Me Heal Me).

Everyone praises the female lead. For me personally Han So Hee did a great job, acting the FL character's feeling and life. The only thing that bothers me alot was her cute, baby, delicate female look and face. She doesn't look strong or tough enough for me and reminds me a lot of Song Hye Kyo (in Descendants of the sun). A Strong Female character but just the look is not sharp enough. Actress Lee Si Young would have been a good choice for this role, but consider the age differences it's not very realistic to cast her. Park Hee Soon aka the Leader of Dongcheon was also very good. I felt like Ahn Bo Hyun's role could have been played by anyone since the role it's not that special.

Rewatch Value: I would definitely watch it again. In fact when I finished the serie, I immediately rewatched the first 5 episodes. In particular the acting of Do Gang Jae and Choi Min Ju.

The real meaning of marriage; stick through thick and thin together

I watch this drama for the hype and because it's on Netflix. So I started with a lot of hope and expectation. Did it meet my expectation??

Story: It was a good story, sometimes predictable. The story could be split in many little story parts.
What I like about this story is the relationships between the people in all the little story parts. They really care for each other and wants the best for each other. It's very realistic and the human behaviour is beautiful (except for some villains). It shows you the real meaning of love despite the darkness in their own life story, choices and personality. Very Good chemistry between Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chaewon as a couple. Their love story is goals!
Do Hyun Soo in my opinion is a normal human but was always trained by his father to be emotionless, anti social personality, non empathic person. Also maybe because he can have a little bit genes to be like that too. It shows how CRAZY rumour can be in the society and effect one person's believe in himself. It influence people around you, what they think to know and understand about you. An example is Hyun Soo wants to protect his daughter reputation versus Min Seok wants to continue his sick genes onto Hyun Soo.
Overall it was a great story but.....WHY at the last episode they had to turn it into a cliché Korean drama. Memory lost in the last episode.... for REAL. It's not necessary to put this at the end of the story. If it's not because of this I will easily gave it a 10.
I mean they could have injured his heart instead of his skull to make it into memory loss story. It's not a happy ending for me with the memory loss. The memory loss in the ending makes their love story looks weaken and so cold between this strong married couple. For more impact they could have make a "5 years later" scene about how he slowly restored his memory about his wife and daughter. Even better a beginning for a second season; have a second baby (boy) that has the psychopath genes of the grandpa Min Seok :).

Acting: PHENOMENAL acting by male lead Lee Joon Gi. His micro-expressions and changes on his face was SO SMOOTH. The control he has over his expressions is INSANE. I couldn't call it acting, because it was so convincing. It's straight up the natural reaction his character would have. He understand his character well. I love the way he portray people with no emotion, it suits his look. He can act as a suspicious vampire or robots very well I guess. It's a compliment, even though it doesn't sound like it. It's hard to act cool with no emotion and not have a dead face. He is an excellent actor. I always like his acting and him portraying the characters but I never like the story or the drama he is in. I wish he have more deeply developed written character or intensive DARK character to portray in the future, that really show his acting abilities.

Moon Chae Won portraying Cha Ji won was great, but her role didn't made an impact on me that last. Her acting in this drama was way better then in Good Doctor. She made me felt her pain and I felt so invested in her role. The difficult choices she had to make. I felt many times that I was in her shoes.

Seo Hyun Woo as reporter Kim Moojin expressions was on point too. I really like his acting and his role.

Jang Hee Jin portraying Hyun Soo older sister was a bit odd for me. I felt that this actress didn't suit for this role. She look way younger for being Lee Joon Gi's older sister. She sometimes also looks weaker for her character. The actress that played the teenage Do Hae Soo was okay.

Music: The ost was very good. Especially the song "Feel Good" by Shin Yong Jae. The lyrics match with the storyline the male lead feels toward his wife. "In My Heart" by Lim Yeon is good too.

Re-watch Value: I will definitely watch it for Lee Joon Gi acting. He did justice to his character, it came to life for me. The love story was something very beautiful and the dad and daughter relationship. Also I will watch it for Joon Gi and Chae Won chemistry.

Overall: It was a good drama, you live with the characters because it has interesting roles and personality development. It met my expectation in terms of acting, but I will skip episode 16 because of the cliché.

Interesting start.....Boring end

The cover of this drama really caught my eye. I have dropped this drama twice before at episode 1. After years I came back.....I'm glad I gave it a third chance. The first episodes were very good, especially the story and the action of ML character. That's also what keeps me from watching all to the end. The second couple also had a good love story, but it's sad that the love story ended so fast for them. How much I wish that there was a separated drama for their love story.

Acting: I started this drama because of Joo Won. I really liked his acting in Good Doctor, so I had high expectation. He did a great job here too. I like when he acts a 'special/mystery' person, his character Yong Pal. He acted cool and makes me want more of his action drama's or as an action doctor.
Kim Tae Hee' s acting felt disappointing for me. I mean she can act, but I guess this character didn't suit her and I didn't see a lot of expression from her as someone that wants to make her enemies payback for there crimes. I have seen her acting in many dramas before. She is very good at princess type of characters or sweet romance characters. Here I find her acting too bland as the FL character. Everytime I watch her part, I can think of a lot of beautiful South Korean actress play this character more suitable than her.
The supporting casts did a good job. I really like Chae Jung An and Jo Hyun Jae as an Onscreen Couple and their love story in this drama. More than the lead couple.

Music was good especially the song A Nightmare by Yong Joon Hyung and Heo Ga Yoon.

Rewatch: I really like the beginning of the story and the story of the second couple in this drama. So I will rewatch selectively.

I had a high expectation for this remake. Since the moment I finished the original story (Taiwan version). I find that the personality of the female lead very much like the female in J-Dramas. So I was very curious and excited when they made into jdrama.

The story: it didn’t leave an impact on me. The ending was not good.

Acting: I find the actress okay for her character but the male lead was not what I would expect. He acted like most of the j-drama male lead. Didn’t stand out with his character. The lead actress sometimes overpowered him in acting.

I would probably rewatch it if I am REALLY out of series to watch. Just because I love the story of fated to love you and because J-drama are always short.
