As far as I see, there aren't any "poor Tay" or blind-defender comments here, maybe just a very small number. Most people are sensible fans or casual viewers who simply want to watch the show. We don't support his actions either. Most of us are here to support this project and the rest of the cast and crew who worked hard on it.

These romance time-travel migration c-dramas like this one always mess up in timelines and they are so random with ending. For the sake of romance focus and censorship, it's possible with your assumptions. Imagine FL will never go back to the future/modern world and she spends the rest of her life in the historical era.. she herself chooses to be her ancestor. Just saying.
She is her own ancestor. It reminds me of the German time-travel series Dark, where one of the characters there is that she is both the daughter and mother of her own mother. It's messy but I like it.
