GL is a SUB GENRE of the bigger lesbian genre and lesbian characters can be complex. Not all lesbian characters need to fall in love and they can watch characters not get together like in Earn’s lesbian (not GL) film flat girls. Not everything that comes out of Thailand is a BL or GL. We can have a Thai series about two friends who’s friendship changes because a man gets involved.
