I just watched Monster Next Door and it's pretty cute in a similar way in that you've got an extroverted person pursuing a more introverted one. Not quite as chaotic as DWY but the main lead is a super green flag and has a "dog-like" personality haha. It's a slow burn and nothing super heavy happens.

The makeup was a bit jarring at first, but I'm glad I kept watching. ML's looks grew on me by like the 3rd epi. It was a really nice mini series. See my spoiler below for ending comments.

Happy ending in ancient times! No "return to the real world" nonsense. No breakups. FL is pretty badass in ep 26. And for once, the ML's sidekicks don't die.

Also don't forget that Consort Zhao thought Ziqi looked like his dad. Roushi probably also recognized that Ziqi looks like his dad.

She really was. She was probably my least favorite character after seeing her behavior toward him. You can be strong without being so demeaning.
