Oh wow didn't know that. But hey you never know people might not be angry because maybe they are not expecting it to follow the folklore exactly. I still think there is a high probability of romance between them.
Watched 3 episodes, loving it already. Straight into the action and love how they are already building the bond between ML and FL. I can't help to think there will be bit of romance. They are many dramas that didn't list romance but ended up having romance story line even though not main plot. For example Legend of Zhang Hai and Blood River. I think they might take that route in terms of romance. So excited for partnership and bond between the characters. Looking forward ep 4.
I think people are thinking too black and white. Two things can be true. Especially for a very layered drama about humanness. Someone can be suffering, and be a victim but it also doesn't mean every single thing they do is correct. Even if what they do is not all correct does not detract from the beautifulness of the character. I think some times MDL comments section can be, you either agree with this character fully or not. Which I think does a deservices to this drama. This drama is more nuanced than that. I am have now completed 4 episodes. I myself was taken a back by MLs personality especially his deliberate need to tear down other people's works because of his lack of success in the industry. I understand the whole he was mean first. But it was still a trait I disliked. However, I still empathize with him. He is a heart tugging character because all his pain is at the surface. He is reaching for anything to cope with his uncomfortableness and his severe depression which is utterly heartbreaking. But even with all that, I can still say his coping mechanism are not healthy nor always correct. But I can still feel pain for his character. So people don't be shocked, or annoyed about people saying his character is annoying or so forth. He is not meant to be a perfect character or always correct or always agreeable. He is very human character, trying his best to cope and his coping choices may not always be perfect. But he is still a charming and adorable character.

I am not up to ep 23, I don't have express. However you can have your own opinion. But I'm sorry ML friend is very pessimistic when it comes to relationship because of his own situation. He has been discouraging ML from starting a relationships with FL from the very beginning. Even when he was trying to find out if ML was having romantic feelings for FL, he reminded him about his own situation, how it didn't work out and discouraged him. Then after ML confession to FL and when their relationship was still in the air he said their relationship has no future and that his love life is dead. What type of good friend is that. He could have encouraged him to be brave about love but he kept on discouraging him because he himself gave up on his relationship.
I'm up to ep 3. I'm team ML. I am aware SML is undercover, however SML behavior when finding out FL was married is an absolute no for me. There was no one there to pretend to be bad for his undercover mission yet he still acted like that. So personally I don't have any ounce of second lead syndrome.

I'm sorry I have checked twice I still don't see any body double I am utterly confused, haha. So if I still can't see it, then personally I don't think it's obvious. I actually don't even think there is a body double for the boat scene.
ML friend is a secret enemy 😭. Just because his romance failed doesn't mean he should drag the ML down with him. Like why did he suggest ML to sign up for the high court. Yeah I know it was ML goal. But why right at that moment when ML was still thinking to about possibly starting a relationships with FL and things are still in the air. I just wish ML would talk to someone other than his friend to give smart and non biased advice.
