Stayed for the FL
It was a classic reborn revenge plot with a twist—you could take multiple attempts at it and even drag a few unlucky souls back in time with you. (Conditions apply, of course.) Honestly, watching the characters treat this once-in-a-millennium chance like a casual “undo” button had me fuming. They abused it so recklessly, hitting reset like it was a video game save file, completely undermining the gravity of their second chance. And since they knew they’d come back alive, they strutted around carelessly, botching investigations, making absurd decisions, and generally treating life-and-death stakes like a mild inconvenience. But what truly sent me into an existential spiral was the sheer absurdity of the plot’s central conflict. For reasons beyond mortal comprehension, the entire universe—uncountable galaxies, stars, planets, Earth with its seven continents, four oceans, billions of people, and trillions of living beings—was being tossed back and forth in a cosmic time loop… all for the sake of saving the FL’s uncle. Yes, you read that right. Her uncle. A man whose fate, mind you, was as doomed as a fly heading straight for a bug zapper. Imagine the laws of time and space bending, rewriting history itself, just to prolong this one man's inevitable demise. Unreal.
The tomfoolery alone was enough to make me rage-quit the drama, but alas, I stayed for the FL. She’s an absolute stunner, and her fight sequences? Crisp, clean, and (hopefully) not performed by a double. Her acting was solid, too. As for the ML… well, he was there. Not offensive, not impressive—just existing. Their chemistry, unfortunately, was a tragic misfire, like watching two AI-generated avatars attempt seduction with pre-programmed eye contact. And the villain? Let’s not even dignify that clown with a discussion.
Overall, this drama was an experience—not one I’d recommend unless you have a peculiar fondness for self-inflicted suffering. In fact, I’d strongly suggest watching paint dry instead. At least that has a satisfying conclusion.

Fine but not the type of story which needs two serving seasons
I personally always appreciate the story which are weave around women financial independence and emotional freedom, well This was one of those finest stories throwing light on the challenges women faced when they made their debut in the business industry back in the time. The gender bias and societal pressure associated with it.Beautifully written concept and artists did a tremendous job playing their respective characters. I am not a very big fan of yang zi as her work previous works haven't impressed me much .. i find her always treading in her comfort zone of playing subtle, graceful and straight-flat characters, not taking any challenging roles .. while she is playing a similar role in this drama also but I seriously couldn't have think of any one else playing mudan ..this character is created for yang zi ... Moving forward lo Xian was amazing ... His playful character definitely forced life into this drama, .. in fact the entire cast was good. No comments on the Chemistry of leads as you need some amount of romantic scenes to do that but This season just showed them as friends.
There were few things that were a little odd about this drama ..
1) after episode 8 ( to around ep 25) there is not much progress in plot or any development in character. It will not be an exaggeration if I say there wasn't any story in between these episodes.. but just repeated pattern of character creating chaos and characters handling it.
2) i understand this show is named flourished peony ..but It felt quite weird as to see how flowers have become the centre of karma in the entire world ... There is inheritance of flowers... Flowers are being treated as symbol jealousy ...people are being executed if flowers wither and ranked up if flowers are doing fine .. everyone from royals to nobles to common person is seeking her peonies as if it is the end of this world.(Gimme a break)
3)horrible ost ..
4) there were a little but visible cinematic mistakes .. she is getting her left hand operated but wears bandages in right ... In many scenes continuation he is holding the stuff in her wrong hand as if there was nobody to tell her about this. (Anyways that's not such a. Big issue)
5) no need for season 2 : they could have just skip over the repeated nonsense and finished the show in 40 episodes in single season instead of wasting viewers' time and planning an another season.

LEGENDARY
I watched this show back in '23 at time of its airing ..and watched it again with season 2 for that nostalgic feel .. one of finest stories..finest cast .. finest 'back of the camera' team. The only thing I felt bad about is it ended too soon. Almost every actor who made Cameo and debut in this show is a prominent name in cdrama industry rn.Was this review helpful to you?
Delightful start crappy end
Time travel - body swap theme ... The beginning was very well written I had high hopes for this one. But suddenly writer LOST IT ... The plot started to become so confusing hell knows why and how ... There so many open ends which were never given a proper closure ... Chemistry between main leads was quite off ... I liked the FL her acting is quite spontaneous ..Was this review helpful to you?

If only the story was a little better ....
Actors were good characters were lost ...Story started good with 'avenge the father death' plot so I was expecting the FL to have be smart, strong and independent person .. she even took a strong decision of changing her appearance ..but as the story flows I can't help but question how someone so stupid as her can become a doctor. Her character was slow ,boring and irritating like she believes every crap she is been told by absolutely anyone and even after committing grave mistake like stabbing a person she walks around shamelessly ... No regret whatsoever .. futher stabbed him second time for the same confusion without being bother to clarify the theory ... Though stupid characters add dimension to a story but seriously this stupid ..???
Adding to the glory of FL ML was equally annoying ..he is living in a delulu that he can save the world by his silence. He has this intention off giving away every useless crap but any important information ..
But as dramas are purely fictitious we cant think of relating them to logic . I mean it takes away the fun ..
Story could have been better as it moves slow and few things (like what her father's imperial army was like ) remained a bit loose and confusing
Worth watching ?? Yes ... For one time why not ???
Worth Repeat watching ... Aahhhh !!! Nope 👎

short ..crisp and inclusive
first of all daisy li is so beautiful ... lets take a moment to appreciate her beauty ..and of course her actingnow the story which as we know revolving around a woman who will willing to avenge the death of her family by a opium trafficing mafia ... as such there is nothing unique in the plot but i like all stories that have strong smart and independent FL ... the chemistry between leads was bomb even when they were playing reluctant of each other's identities. on the whole it;s ok ok
worth rewatching ???
ahh i dont think so but okay for one time watching

Manual to Greatness used as toilet paper #LameWriting (though everything else worked perfectly)
Yet again, another Korean writer who did not fail to disappoint me with painfully weak writing. The overall sketch of the story was so captivating that it could have been an easy 10/10 banger. Instead, like many promising plots before it, this one got sacrificed to the writers’ strange obsession with a two-cents-worth stalker who somehow gets treated like a national-level threat yet arrested after 10 attempts.Honestly, it was tiring to watch the characters waste hours chasing this bargain-bin villain as if he were some multiverse mastermind.
And then comes the female lead. Possibly one of the most clueless heroines to grace the screen. She keeps walking straight into this stalker again and again. At some point you start wondering whether she secretly enjoys these encounters. If she is that fascinated with the stalker, maybe the writers should have just paired them together and saved everyone the trouble. And What makes it more frustrating is that she literally possesses a manual to greatness 'the-holy-book-of-spells' , yet.. still.. ends up getting slapped around by the vamp cause apparantly love and beauty spells are useless in this situation. She didn't use a single useful spell out that book .. oh sorry she did i think the one that saved the ML ..but no he had to die to over come his curse so that one attempt also goes to bin.
Thank goodness she was never entrusted with something like a death note. She might have turned it into a gratitude journal and ll writing daily affirmations for the villain. Damn it !
Now, credit where it is due. The cast was genuinely one of the best parts of this drama. Rowoon and Bo-ah did a solid job, and their chemistry carried many scenes that the script itself struggled to support. Even with an annoying role, Bo-ah’s charm managed to shine through. The side cast also added depth and personality, making the world feel more alive than the plot deserved. So, Majority stars in my rating goes to this lovely effort put together by the great cast of this drama.
The background music and OST were absolute bangers. The kind that linger in your head long after the episode ends.
The ending was satisfying as well. Not perfect, but decent enough to close the curtain without throwing tomatoes at the screen.
So yes, it was a good drama…
if you can simply fast-forward through the endless “catch-me-if-you-can” circus starring the stalker. This one is absolutely a must-watch for you.

Asian financial crises, slush funds and an undercover probe
The plot is closely based on the 1997 Asian financial crisis and its ripple effects on the South Korean economy. This drama will likely appeal to viewers who have a keen interest in global financial history and the economic ups and downs that shape societies. Otherwise, it may feel a bit exhausting, since it is not your typical office romance or anything remotely similar. I suppose this also explains its relatively low viewership numbers, though not necessarily its ratings. As far as the pacing is concerned, the first half was quite slow, with too much screen time spent on unnecessary scenes. The story only began to gain some real momentum around episode 11. At times, it felt as if the writer did not have enough strong material and instead stretched the narrative with filler moments, such as a lengthy birthday celebration captured through camcorder recordings.
Park Shin Hye delivered a solid performance as always, though this was certainly not her best work. Whenever she flashed that signature smile, it often felt forced and slightly out of place, occasionally giving off secondhand embarrassment, though that might just be my personal impression. On the other hand, Haan Yoon Kyung was my favorite among the cast. Her appearance, acting skills, and the character she portrayed were all impressive. That said, I do not think there was any weak link in the cast, and even the child actress did a commendable job.
I particularly appreciated how thoughtfully the story navigated the lives and struggles of career-driven women, showing them building meaningful bonds with one another while deliberately avoiding the predictable old-flame rekindling cliché, which felt refreshing. Still, I wish the writers had incorporated more chess sequences into the heist segment to heighten the strategic tension.
Overall, it was a good watch.

Sweeeeeeettttt
Story of a girl who paints portraits for the government and private clients, forced to swap her face with the prime minister's daughter to marry the general in her place. The plot is spot on .. zero BS .. story moves with a consistent pace unfurling every secret one after another without dragging too much. Ying ke and cheng lei did a good job ..their chemistry was sweet ... Actually it's Ying ke who would look cute irrespective of what role she plays whereas cheng lei is known to sport his gentleman's persona the best... Their pairing gave a real couple-like vibe .... nothing too steamy or flashy just organic romance between husband and wife anchoring you emotionally and deeply. Side cast added their fair share to the story as well.
The ending was satisfactory with a side twist nobody asked for, but overall the drama is very much enjoyable.
Watching cheng lei in such low production dramas tells you a lot about his journey as an artist... I am glad he is doing good budget and full length series as ML now.

Excellent chemistry
Zuo yi and wang Nan have delivered so many masterpieces together, so it wasn't surprising to see the level of the chemistry they share, which was the highlight of the show , at this point their comfort around each looked very obvious on the screen. Apart from this, the depth of psychological aspect of the plot i.e. FL having those creepy hallucinations and its reflection in her art style was quite intense .. honestly speaking if it were written like a long format drama under Good budget production it would've gotten so much more recognition. I was satisfied with the main actors' act but the side cast especially the FL foster family members were horrible. Plus I really felt FL's planning to reach out to ML and using him in her revenge plan wasn't explored properly .. I mean the plan execution of her plan and its working in the way she wanted seemed a bit superficial and rushed.. it was as if she hit the jackpot in her first attempt .. but then this was short format drama there wasn't much screet time to add layers to the story ... Overall a good, satisfactory and refreshing watch.Overall a good revenge plot if you can just ignore the unnecessary overacting parts

Time travel + dream travel
Alright !!!! So This is another “travel and reborn in the past” story, but with few twists. Here, the protagonist is an archaeologist researching a tyrant king and the tragic end of his dynasty. She suddenly travels back in time and wakes up as his notorious evil concubine. What makes this story stand out is that the female lead doesn’t end up as a weak or bullied woman like in most similar plots.+ Instead, she’s someone powerful, feared, and already influential ~~~~~~ which means no boring palace catfights at the start. 😌
Infact The writer uses that space to build better mystery, for which he/she added an interesting “dream travel” element where the male lead can enter people’s dreams and uncover their secrets just by touching their heads. Cool .... !!! Mind reading sort of thing ..
The plot feels heavy for the short format but not confusing or overwhelming. It also touches on issues like sick ancient rituals, the unfair treatment of women in harem system , and how marriage defined a woman’s worth back then.
The cast is great , Wen Mo Yan delivers as always, and Wu Ji Feng was a perfect choice for the male lead. Music and styling are average.
The only weak spot is the unclear link between the male lead’s mother in the two timelines.
Still, it’s a refreshing and well-executed drama that kept me hooked till the end.

Surprisingly inspiring
Story of a girl who stood up alone and slapped hierarchy and patriarchy right across the face (metaphorically… but I wish literally).Le Yao is a village girl who gets humiliated, betrayed, and ultimately killed by her “best friend”/maid and crooked in-laws. She’s reborn a month before her death (yup, traitor bestie respawns too cause the universe said let’s run it back). With a second chance in hand, she is willing to level up with strategies not tears.
There are tons of rebirth-revenge plots out there, but I only appreciate the ones where the FL actually uses her brain. I don’t want those stories where the lead voluntarily walks into 30 slaps, 12 torture sessions, 5 public humiliations, and sacrifices entire army “for the sake of revenge.” ..Huh! So inefficient..Boring!
This FL?? She is smart.. top tier strategist ..she got punished only one time (hurt her fingers) and lost a lady member of her team but at the expense of this her comeback was an absolute blockbuster. Her schemes planning and her unwavering focus on her goal .... Simple wow ... I loved how the ML started taking dictation from her from a very early stage totally succumbing to her intelligence and wisdom ... And this is the reason why she wasn't just loved but respected and worshiped by this sigma man. Nice chemistry.
Reading the reviews here I was a bit sceptical but This drama got almost 900 thousand views in a single month on you tube( compilation video) ... I guess figure speak louder than words but even the comments are positive.
The ending was a bit anticlimactic, I won’t lie but it’s fine. I wasn’t planning on giving it a full 10/10 anyway.

Watchable but not worth recommending
I honestly didn’t find anything special in this plot. A lady general dies believing the ML (her best friend and supposed lover) betrayed and killed her. Someone ends up saving her, but she loses all her memories. Three years later, living under a new identity, she crosses paths with the same ML again… and they get married. The rest of the story is just her memory revival and clearing up the misunderstandings of her past life.I might sound biased, but the ML simply didn’t work for me. His personality wasn’t appealing, and even his acting didn’t feel strong enough to justify casting him as the male lead. But sure… everyone deserves a chance.
Zhen Zhen, however, did well. Not her absolute best, but she carried the “pitiless general” vibe convincingly enough. The chemistry between the leads was… okay-ish. Nothing memorable, nothing that sticks with you after the credits roll.
Would I recommend watching it?
Not really. It’s not terrible ... you can watch it if you’re killing time ,but it’s definitely not something I’d include in a list of recommended dramas. Pretty forgettable overall.

Where is the plot in this
There’s honestly not much of a plot to even title here.. this was more like filler plot. The so-called backstory is just 2+2 mins tiny flashbacks ~~ one about the emperor’s death and another about the FL’s dead general lover. That’s it. After that, it turns into a full Big Brother reality show: the empress dowager bickering with concubines, the FL flirting with pretty boys, and endless confusing, beating-around-the-bush conversations with the ML.Continuity?hardly any ...the transitions are messy. It feels like scenes were chopped out, because the end of one episode never properly continues into the next, writer has left it to your wisdom to connect the dots.
The cast was actually great though. Richard, Zehui, and Yiyao are all good-looking and talented. They did their jobs well, even if the script didn’t exactly help them much.
The BGM was decent. Nothing grammy worthy.
The ending was satisfying overall… I mean what else were you expecting from this ... Even the last 2-min episode was wasted on ML crying ... Seriously was it even necessary.
Well I would've rated it high if this story had some concrete content.

Sweet ... Simple... Surprisingly Satisfying..
It's a sweet... light-hearted drama about a married couple who divorce after a series of misunderstandings, only to slowly rekindle their romance. Meng Na and Jian Qi, as always, brought their best to the screen. Their chemistry felt warm and fluffy ,.. full of respect, care, and a quiet kind of love that shows even in their playful banter 🥰🥰Honestly, they looked so visually appealing together that a few plot loopholes were easy to forgive.
I also loved the styling: Jian Qi absolutely rocked that red-burgundy hair, and Meng Na’s wardrobe 👗 was chef’s kiss... classy, modern, and perfectly curated.
Overall, it was an enjoyable, feel-good watch.🙂🙃
