Pathetic
1. Illogical plot.2.childish execution
3. Third class acting (FL was specifically horrible)
4. Forced comedy
5. No chemistry
6. Cheap makeup and styling.
A complete time waste ... I suggest you it's better you watch your paint dry instead of watching this crap. I guess Meng En was the only one committed to his work in the entire team.

Better off Asleep
I went into this show with high hopes—it’s from the creators of Pinocchio, so I expected the same magic. But, let’s just say it didn't even meet half of my expectations.
First off, the female lead (don’t even remember her name),I was kind of hoping for someone who’d hit me with that Park Shin Hye-level charm, whom I missed dearly. This was my first time seeing this actress, she’s good, I don’t think she’ll make it to my favorites. The chemistry with the male lead was so-so too.
And the narration? Oh, the excessive, endless narration. Each episode is loaded with monologues and POVs from male lead, female lead, side characters, probably even the neighbor’s cat. trying to explain every little thing. Imagine having a thrilling crime drama pause every five minutes to give a detailed commentary on everyone’s psychology. I’m not here for a lecture—I’m here for the drama!
The mom character had me laughing until she went off the rails after finding out about the leads’ shared past. She decides to hide a ring that the male lead gave to the female lead. Like, okay? Was this supposed to change anything? Because I’m pretty sure he could just buy another ring.
Then there's the whole future-vision power fiasco. These characters can literally foresee life-or-death situations, yet they repeatedly walk right into them. If I saw a vision of myself getting hurt in a certain place, I’d be making plans far away from there. But they seem determined to test fate at every turn. It’s like they have a superpower but refuse to read the manual.
Oh, and randomly, a side character suddenly becomes fully color-blind. Talk about bizarre! Add to that some uninspired wardrobe choices.
Overall this was the type of drama which will force you to revisit your life choices.

Simply BEAUTIFUL
It's been a while since I watched a drama without skipping a single scene. From the opening episode to the finale, I was completely entertained. This is what a proper slow burn looks like....Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. No rush...., no drag. Every conflict is introduced at the right time and resolved with equal care. Nothing feels thrown in just to inflate the episode count. Every character gets exactly the amount of screentime they deserve, and the story never wastes time on unnecessary subplots. The story follows two individuals whose families are bound by a blood feud....Forced into a political marriage, they begin their journey with little hope of ever becoming a real couple. But as they spend time together, resentment slowly gives way to mutual respect, friendship, and eventually love. But , What impressed me most was how naturally the relationship evolved. The writer doesn't rush the romance ... Every challenge they face strengthens their bond a little more. They don't magically fall in love after two episodes or after one accidental hug..
Infact !! Unlike many enemies-to-lovers dramas where romance suddenly becomes the characters' entire personality, both leads here remain true to their responsibilities throughout. They don't abandon their families or principles for love. Instead, they expand their definition of family..... .It isn't *"My family or you?" .... It's *"You are my family too." completely changing the emotional weight of their journey.
One of my favourite touches comes at the end of their marriage journey like Most marriages are completed with a ceremonial cup of nuptial wine.Theirs feels complete only after they consummate their marriage in her maiden home, followed by her formal entry into his ancestral hall. It symbolically erases years of guilt, resentment, and unfinished business from both families.A beautiful piece of visual storytelling.
Now let's talk about the ML.
What an absolute green flag.He protects her, keeps every promise he makes, respects her wishes, and never treats her as someone beneath him, even when theirs is nothing more than a political marriage. Love comes later. Respect comes first.
LYN absolutely owns roles like these. At this point, he might as well be crowned the prince of green flags. One thing I particularly admire about his acting is how subtly he changes his body language as his characters fall in love. The way he looks at his co-star, the softness in his posture, the little smiles... none of it feels forced. And before you know it, you're rooting for him... or perhaps wishing someone would look at you the same way.
The FL is equally brilliant.Strong, intelligent, compassionate, graceful..Song was perfectly cast. She brought elegance and grace to the role,
Her chemistry with LYN deserves a special mention too. Their comfort with each other is obvious in every scene, whether they're arguing, teasing, or sharing intimate moments.
The styling is another major highlight. The FL's costumes, makeup, and accessories are consistently gorgeous and perfectly suited to her character.
And then there's Yunning's voice.
That man could probably sing a grocery list and I'd still put it on loop in my playlist. His songs elevate every emotional moment, making an already beautiful drama even more memorable.
The only aspect that disappointed me was the ending. Not because it's unhappy.Because it's rushed.
The final two episodes suddenly become a stabbing competition.
Prominent characters are eliminated one after another with surprising randomness. FL's uncle, his advisor, even the villain's own uncle... they're all dispatched so quickly that their deaths barely leave any emotional impact.
I was also hoping the FL would have a bigger role during the final battle. The drama repeatedly establishes her intelligence and resourcefulness, yet the finale doesn't give her enough opportunities to shine despite there being plenty of room to do so.
A missed opportunity.
Even so, these flaws are far too small to overshadow everything this drama gets right.
*Compelling writing.
*A beautifully developed romance.
*Outstanding chemistry.
*Excellent performances.
*And one of the healthiest relationships you'll find in a historical C-drama.
An easy **10/10** from me.
Absolutely superb.🫶🫶🫶
And without a doubt...
**********A must-watch.**********

So... He died anyway ...
The story follows a sickly or poisoned former martial arts sect leader, LX, who gets unexpectedly tangled up with a rookie detective. Together, they investigate a series of strange murders and bizarre crimes. As they peel back the layers of each case, a much darker mystery connected to their own pasts slowly begins to emerge. For the first thirty episodes, the drama was actually pretty decent. It wasn't some masterpiece that would leave you speechless, but it was engaging enough. The slow-burn investigations, the mystery, the character dynamics... it all worked well enough to keep me watching.
But those last ten episodes?😮💨😮💨😮💨
They felt less like a drama series and more like serving a full life sentence.
No, seriously. At one point I caught myself looking at my syllabus books and thinking, "You know what? These are actually more interesting." That's how badly the plot started dragging.
The biggest problem was that everyone seemed to lose their common sense. The characters suddenly became frustrating, the dialogues turned painfully repetitive, and scenes that should have lasted two minutes somehow stretched into eternity. Take that pagoda sequence, for example. They were supposedly racing against time to find the mother bug, the villain could have returned with his entire gang at any moment, and what do our heroes do? Casually stroll around the crime scene, discussing theories, visualising events, and having long philosophical conversations as if they're on a sightseeing tour. The urgency was nowhere to be found.
And the worst part? The drama is packed with moments like this. Every time something important was about to happen, the characters would stop for another unnecessarily long conversation. It felt as if the writers were being paid by the minute and were determined to squeeze every last second out of each scene.
By the end, I wasn't even curious about the mystery anymore. I was just curious whether the episode would finally end.
It's genuinely disappointing because the drama had a solid premise, a fairly interesting central mystery, and enough potential to be memorable. Instead, the final stretch drains all the momentum built up in the earlier episodes. What started as an intriguing investigative drama eventually turns into an endurance test for the audience.
Now, onto the good stuff.
Cheng Yi was excellent. He played the role so convincingly that he was looking genuinely sick, exhausted and fragile. But I do think LX deserved his own victory moment, After making him suffer through illness, betrayal, and endless injuries the writer still chose to kill him in the end.... Like...
Why ?????? What was the reason??? 😭
Surprisingly, I found myself liking Joseph's FX more. Watching him grow from a spoiled, impulsive brat into someone with genuine ambition and purpose was incredibly satisfying. And I absolutely loved that he chose to continue travelling the martial world instead of settling down. It felt true to who he had become.
The styling was exactly what you'd expect from a wuxia period drama. Elegant costumes, beautiful scenery, and all the flowing robes your heart could desire. Nothing revolutionary, but it did its job well.
And the OST?
Oh !! It was an absolute banger. And why not.... It's sung by Yunning. That man simply refuses to release mediocre tracks.
In the end, this drama could have been so much better if the writers had stayed committed till the very end. The ingredients were all there: an intriguing mystery, compelling characters, and a fascinating world. But the final stretch stumbled so badly that it left me wondering if the writers themselves had lost the mother bug.
Would I recommend it????
Actually, yes. 🙈
Despite all my complaints, I think it's worth giving a chance. Try the first five episodes. If the characters and the investigative vibe click with you, you'll probably enjoy most of the ride.
Just be prepared for the last ten episodes.

subtitle crises
this show has broken links on the various platform that provide decent subs ... it's available on youtube but subs missing in various scenes. at first i thought the subs are missing only in not-so-important scenes but soon blanks gone bigger and bigger and episode 5 things stopped making sense without the subs so .. cant hep i had to drop..otherwise this story is stupidly adorable.

Not gonna waste my time on this one
Watched 15 mins of episode 1 and instantly knew I was heading toward a breakup—with the show. The leads already met, one already head-over-heels... great, now what? Bake cookies? Zero suspense. Still gave it a shot, but then came the scene—ML tries to show FL her boyfriend’s cheating, and instead of opening her eyes, she scolds him. I actually paused to check if I was watching a parody. I’ve endured enough stupid FLs for a lifetime, thank you very much. No tension, no twist, just recycled drama in a sparkly wrapper. Dropped it faster than the FL dropped her common sense. Moving on.No regrets, just relief. 🫡🗑️

This drama should be titled: Immortal samSNORA/ immortal samSORRY/ immortal samSLUMBER~~
The second part picks up exactly where Part 1 left off. Now, considering how painful the first season became towards the end, I went into this one carrying a tiny spark of hope. Maybe this part would address some of my grievances. Maybe the pacing would improve. Maybe the characters would finally start using the cranial and magical powers a little.
Maybe.
But none of that happened.
In fact, somehow, this season managed to be even messier and less rewarding.
One thing I did appreciate was YY. Even after regaining his memories, he continues to acknowledge his feelings for YD. No unnecessary amnesia drama, no "I must deny my feelings cause I have to save the world " BS*. He knows whom he loves, and he's determined to make things right. He's even ready to renounce his godhood and leave everything behind for his beloved.
Sounds romantic, doesn't it?
Well...
The execution was about as exciting as watching paint dry.
Bro, you are a literal Heavenly God.
A GOD.
Why are you standing there looking mildly concerned while the villain casually destroys evidence right in front of you?
Do something!
Shoot lightning.
Freeze time.
Throw a mountain.
Pull out some ancient divine technique hidden in your sleeve.
Anything.
Instead, his entire strategy seems to be:
1. Arrive.
2. Look worried.
3. Say, "This can't continue."
4. Continue letting it continue.
At some point I stopped feeling frustrated, His approach is so passive that i ...🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱.
So...I dropped it at Episode 10. I simply couldn't do it anymore. Apparently Life is short. My watchlist is long. Besides, I already know how this is going to end. ML and FL die in the final episode so there is exactly nothing to look forward to.
So yes, I'm stepping off this train.

What the hell is this ?
Ridiculous plot, pathetic acting and third class comedy.. it is painful to watch Cavan doing such horrible drama..such a waste . For mary's sake don't just make a drama out of any stupid script.... Oh damn! This wasn't good enough to be called a SCRIPT in the first place. And the FL ... Can't care less about her 😒 Even my chihuahua has better acting skills than her. This show is waste of your precious time.brace yourselves and Drop the idea of watching ,go grab something better. Bye 👋(Even writing a review for this crap feels like a national crime)

I am still trying to figure out why I watched even 5 episodes of this crap
Wang zu yi did such a great job with Daisy li in perilous love ( acting in concerned) ..I like him a lot but I don't know if this pathetic storyline is the reason, he looked just below average in this drama ..the role ..I mean it didn't suit him at all ...Secondly the FL ..oh my god ..such an ugly face plus no talent of acting whatsoever... I watched "the rebel empress" and wrote an entire pointer essay on her pathetic acting .... She is such a steaming pile of horseshit ... Neither beautiful nor talented .. just third class ... Anyways I will still ignore her but the storyline in this drama has a serious problem of distinguishing past and present events ... Nothing makes sense ... she broke up with with 5 years ago on text and yet sits in his car shamelessly as soon as she meets him again ... Why cause he is holding a god damned bag for me ... He took her for a lunch and she is sitting like she doesn't owe him any explanation... Come on !! If a person do something so horrible with other person he/ she will either ignore them or give them an explanation as soon as they meet again. This FL just sits in his car like he is some driver appointed by her father ..so ridiculous...
My condolences to people who actually watched it to the end

one of those 100s of chinese drama on this plot thrown on youtube ..nothing new even the scenes are same .. lover betrayed by step sis .. meeting some CEO in club ..spending night with him .. and so on ... i dont see a reason to watch the same crap again and again. plus actors are not upto my taste ..even more reason to drop itWas this review helpful to you?
Probably the quickest drop
This is probably the quickest that I ever dropped a drama .. just 2 episodes in and I knew I won't be able to tolerate this till the end. Watching third episode was already test of patience.Reasons this didn't worked out for me:
1) lead characters are not inspiring enough : the big fat bully Male lead who forced the demon lord fella to give his core even when clearly demons were the first ones to suffer.. I have zero to negative affinity for such protagonists.. he borrowed the power of FL divine fire and bullied the third party .. I mean what's next , giving him nobel peace prize for this? .
The FL character is equally bogus .. she has absolutely no say in anything ..whosoever takes her power for their use ..she literally like the stinky towel wrestler use after each rounds to wipe them off.
2) main cast : I don't know if the character disappointed me more or the cast .. not a fan of yun long nothing about his acting or looks fancy me ..just not my type. He is old enough yet his acting is so mediocre, I mean what's his excuse ?? there are so many actors like geng xin ( lead from legend of shen li) who are about his age but you can clearly see the difference in quality of their performance.
Female lead was fine . though over shadowed by the sizzling guest appearances.
3) A big bouquet of popular faces but plot was not doing any justice , looks like they spent all budget on cast and no allowances remain to hire a good writer .
4) I watched till ep 3 but I already knew this show is going to have an unnecessarily long list of characters.. well I don't mind if the story is good .. but I cant say that for this one.
And let’s be real—if I pushed through two more episodes, I’d find five more reasons to ghost this drama, so why waste the brain cells?
Will i ever be revisiting this ?
Hell No .. I will chose watching something like moonlight mystique tenth time with eating plain oats over watching this even once.
PS: 3 out the 3.5 star rating I gave, goes to ming hao ..boy saved the day for me ❤️

Baseless and boring
( starts with a fairy trying to make a pact with devil in order as instructed by her grandpa ..devil appears and just bites her ...) this all is a part of game she is playing ... Like preface of the game.It was okay until now .. then starts a lousy narration in which she explains about the game and related reality ...and suddenly we see the devil and fairy have already became a friendly couple ... The hell ... No context about how their feelings grew ...no build up of the story ... Just out of nothing they appear in a "caring for each other" phase .... For Pete's sake they are devil and fairy ...do they fall in love just like that ...
Honestly speaking the way the story progresses suddenly it was indeed best to be developed as a game but I don't think you should portray a drama in such inconsistent manner ...
Can't tell if the story got any better afterwards but I decided to drop it after episode 1 .. time is too precious to waste on a drama that doesn't have a nice pilot episode ...
Feeling bad Guan Yue ..he was looking very handsome and acted well ..but damn it to hell this lousy script turned the entire drama into a waste ..

Cross-border romance..sorry!!! can't relate.
Not a fan of this cross border romance genre... I find it too bogus and impractical to be honest. In real life they will keep you in jail ... Torture you to hell .. and send your dead body in the most disgusting state possible ... Apparently some genres must be banned in these so called 'liberal' cinemas. There is a lot on stakes to let the young minds influenced by this nonsense. Sometimes cinema should be held accountable for its deeds. You can watch it for entertainment but please don't let it influence your mind.

The Future” Looked Bright… Until She Showed Up
First of all, the title is highly misleading. Anyone reading it would assume we’re diving into a time-travel plot—maybe some epic sci-fi twists or at least a dramatic wormhole. But no, “future” here just means the ML is into robotics and owns a few gadgets that scream “futuristic vibes.”
Now don’t get me wrong—the plot had promise! We’ve got a smart male lead, cohabitation, a classic contract relationship... basically, a setup that could’ve been fun, even without anything too wild. I was ready to be mildly entertained at worst.
She is not even worth discussing... ' TOTALLY TALENTLESS' horrible dialogue delivery, horrible expression, horrible spontaneity, horrible , body language ... LASTLY horrible face. Seems like the casting directors in china have fetishes for young girls ( or those who can act like one) otherwise there is no way you can't get decent talent in a country with a 1.4 billion population.
After spending a truckload on the cast, sets, equipment, production and marketing... You give the wheel to such incompetent FL ...even the ML was annoyed as there was literally zero chemistry.

I will chose death over this drama
I couldnt take more than one episode ... This story is an abuse to my senses ... Plus the irritating violin playing in the entire episode ..oh God ... I won't put that music even on my funeral... I felt like I am going to deep slumber in the Abyss while watching this show ...After yawning a hundred times,Wiping away my tears of boredom..and questioning my existence in front my laptop,I am giving up ..
ladies and gentlemen finally I am giving up on this steaming pile of horseshit ...
