This show is so heart rending. It gives me that warm but grieving feeling when I watch it because you know how things end from the start. The ML and FL are very frustrating in that they don't communicate properly. To be fair no one in this drama does, and it's kind of the baseline of this show. I wonder what this story would be like if they all talked to one another and showed their feelings and pasts honestly.
The characters are very human. The writers don't shy away from showing their flaws but also why each character is loved by someone.
This era of television is gone now; they really don't make dramas like this anymore. This was from before the Hallyu wave, and you can tell it was truly written and produced primarily for passion. It also encompasses darker and more scandalous themes than the majority of Korean dramas made afterwards. Or maybe it just shows these themes in a more brutal and scorching way.
Not to say this is the best drama from Korea, not even close. There are modern dramas that are much better. Yet still none that have the vibe and atmosphere of a show like this; it's very unique and refreshing.
I had no idea she had all these allegations against her with illegal drug use and driving under the influence. I just wanted her to come back to screen because she's one of the prettiest people I've ever seen. Hope she's doing well
Im curious about one thing in ep 4, when the chairman was looking for the password in the pen rack and couldn't…
I replied this in another comment, but I think he's probably suspicious that Dongju took it with him so that no one else could access the safe. However he does not want to believe it and is going to wait until dongju is supposed to return before panicking, and he is going to check for other suspects in his surroundings. I also think that the chairman's daughter took it because she wants to frame dongju, otherwise she could have just taken a photograph

tbf dongju has worked hard at making himself indispensable, but it probably helped that the chairman is an alcoholic lmao I am wondering what the chairman's daughter is planning to do with the password. seems shortsighted to take it like that. might as well photograph it and then there's no one the wiser, unless she wants to frame dongju...🙈
The scene where the chairman is looking for the password and having a flashback to the pen holder..i didn't get…
I think he's probably suspicious of dongju but doesn't want it to be true. He's probably trying to think of other suspects, So he's putting faith in dongju's hasty return. I don't know how he's gonna take dongju showing up with no memory 😅
Lee Jehoon always chooses good scripts so ik for a fact this will be decent. I'm not sure if it will be my thing or not so I'm waiting for it to air so we can find out more about it before I actually plan to watch it. I'm not super into the business genre unfortunately
