Gonna be the first to admit it...Usually I don't like any novel adoption and always end up thinking it cut the book short, but I for once would admit that the show had done waaaay better than the novel.
I love that they made major shifts that served the plot, covered all the mistakes that were detected in the novel and still retained the main outline. All the character changes with Hui's personality in the novel is really serving, TBH I found myself odded most of the time and I remember saying when I was reading "Leave him Fei. And didn't think they should end up together", while here I thought "A jerk who made a mistake, but still genuinely in love"
I will admit that what happened with Joseph wasn't expected because his character had deeper and more to offer to the finally, BUT, this time I will trust the creators since they hadn't disappointed me so far.
guys.... whomever is not about the entire AI drama and is just there because of how AMAZING this show is, let's talk about some theories you have about the upcoming event

-Fei disappeared from Hui's life -Fei fakes engagement into one of the gangster heads' sister, and before their wedding he is sent to their France partner to seal a new dr*g deal. -Fei is captured after his colleague officer blows his cover, they try the drug on him and he is graped by both his co-worker and the French boss. -Hui managed to find him but the place is blown up and Fei was suspected to have died. -Years later Fei showed up after Hui had learned his lesson and how much he loves Fei

You know what "we" should have actually made a stand for as humans years ago? That particular trait that makes one feel divine enough to act like moral gods without scooping around the entire scene and somehow believe they're heroes in a cape.
Do, I think the AI usage could have been omitted, yes... Will write my predictions as someone who writes/read the novel/watched the trailer...
Based on the buildup:
-Fei will work as an undercover agent again to help Hui since he will become more involved with the charges and the gang world
-Shawn is the mastermind and is part of the gang world
-Chiu Yan, based on the novel will still be the mole who works for the organization and will in fact get Fei captured (I could tell that they added scenes to make him seem interested and worried about Fei, which will naturally develop into the condition he added to betray Fei "To be the first to grape Fei".
-What is a 100% confirmed is Fei's disappearance, which was mentioned when Hui walked in to the "mysterious figure" with a gun and asked him about where Fei was in the trailer
-I like that they kept the entire underground gang concept, but tbh I am not sure if they can manage to give a decent plot with so little time, but I will say they definitely added the families involved in the matter in the trailer, with the exception of.. I should say, Fei will no longer be the future brother-in-law of the strongest gang's head, like it was portrayed in the novel, but rather "SHE as in the wife" will be the one in charge...
Fei was later graped and Hui was listening over the phone, Fei told Hui "Someone else is putting their ash…
Fei was being graped by someone (won't say cause that's a major spoiler), and that person knew Hui... they called him while he was grapping Fei.
Fei was trying to tell Hui to forget him and move on because he was unlikely to escape, so he told Hui that "Someone else is putting their ash into your ashtray, find yourself a new one" priorly Hui referred to Fei as his ashtray, meaning his s*x tool, or in worse form, where he puts his S****.
So, Fei was telling him to move on, and find himself a new s*x toy
But we're all thinking Do Hyeon (Kim Joo Heon) is Bi O's father, right?
