another thing I wanted to add is that there are things the sister can do that the FL can't which makes her a potential character is her being a strong woman too, she was able to protect herself while the FL who almost died was protected by a man (always) that scene should have showed the other character ( the sister) to be a strong person but they made her character like that so that viewers can get something to hate on. I have no hate against the drama but I can't take it seriously. I dunno if you understand what I meant

i mean she has a potential to be a FL it's from my perspective as someone who likes writing stories like enemies to lovers here are the reasons why

- yes she's rude and a bully but she has potential here is why, I'll tell a story using her character if she was the lead
she's very rude but something tragic happens that turned her character around e.g her family fell from grace to grass, her family was annihilated which gave her character a big change ngl I can actually write a story with her character and romance with the ML which will make sense more than the drama because it's a genius idea. the FL character is unlikeable, I don't want to use the term pickme" because she doesn't like getting attention from men or anything, but her character is poorly written they say she's nice but why did they let the sister enter the house through the back door no matter the formality or anything and when they were in the carriage too going to the matchmakers her carriage was different from the FL. I don't want to nitpick or anything but if I was the author I would pick the other character as the FL because her story will have so much potential without make the now FL a villain in the story, FL is already perfect and has everything, it's just like watching a perfect woman that everything will always be in her favour and a damsel I distress getting whatever she wants and all her wish fulfilled. but from my perspective as someone who writes I'd love to make a story about the imperfect woman who's always a bully go through a drastic character development and find love also even if it's not fronm the FL

because I really like the FL I'm a fan of hers with SWL too I'm just stating the vibes I'm getting from the dramas centering the FL character which is uncomfortable 😣 ig

I just started this drama and on episode 7 now, but why is the FL character like that she's so unlikable I wanna say she's like those rich people pick me's, she feels like the kind of friend that you'll have and will always get attention even though... I just can't put my hands to it I'll say she's a mean girl but I don't wanna. her other sister story had more potential than hers like her sister is giving me potential female lead story because I feel it will make more sense that way because the FL character is not giving, overall it's giving I'm not getting a good vibes from it, even the ML character is criticizable . please note I'm not hating the actress I'm only talking about the character not her or her acting.

ngl but I think the third person is Zhang hai uncle gao Ming although the hand looks like that of a lady I still believe that it's his hands, he might be hiding his identity

and I've noticed this in every xiao zhan drama why is there always some people trying to rate it down even though it's really good, the same happened with the movie he released this year

I wish they would have done a lil bit more with the main plot of episode 1 like the high and powerful minister that comes to the house of the ML and the ML watches as his family dies and plots revenge, I'm sorry but that type of plot is too common apart from that the acting is 🔥 chef's kiss, I like the suspense I'm getting from the drama it's soo good and is making me curious I hope they keep this pace up.

sorry but I feel like FL smartness will lead to history to repeat itself, on the surface she's trying to fulfil her grandfather's wish but on the other surface she wants her family to have power in case the Wei family turns against them all these is going to backfire on her, either one or two things Will happen 1. her cousin's husband will die or become ally with the ML 2. they might turn against eachother, I've seen this before the writers let the FL flat but won't keep the pace up and she turns stupid when she starts falling in love.
for some reason the strategies of the FL doesn't seem right to me, it feels as if the writer is trying to not make her the enemy but I feel like the strategy will somehow backfire to the ML. I dunno how to explain to everyone but we'll see

I wish there was a little romance from the leads, I don't mind the guardians of dafeng type of romance cos I really want to see them pair up together

and song zu er performance is soo amazing like I knew I didn't make the wrong choice lol, I've been a fan since falling for you( I think that's the name of the drama)

and I just want to say I dont really understand the FL motive ik she wants to form and alliance with his country then why do it suspiciously, obviously the FL family were at fault why would they betray their neighbouring friend leaving them to die and their generations be killed off just because they wanted to be safe, and I should say I feel for the ML imagine marrying someone that cause 3 generations of your family to be wiped out leaving almost no male in the family, I wouldn't want to do that either, and the funniest thing is the the FL family is playing victim refusing to own up to what they caused even though they didn't do anything they watched their family being slaughtered just to save themselves. the enmity between both families is giving immortal and demons like the xianxia ones lol.
but I love how the FL is smart it adds more to the story , what I won't understand is how they are going to fall in love because for me if I were him I would never. looking forward to how the FL melts his stone hearted heart
