I'm just not into webtoons or mangas becoming shows & unless you saw or read said webtoon or manga you are left in the dark. If the story cannot be told so that the viewer can understand WITHOUT having some sort of previous background knowledge of the story, than your job as a director is a fail. I've read many books to movies, knowing full well that the books are generally always better, but a director should be able to pick & choose what is most important to be shown in order to get the viewer to be just as enraptured by the story as they would if they were reading it. When people say, "well in the manga", in order to explain why something happened or why someone said something, etc, I tune out. I'm watching the show to be shown not to be told that if I did more work it would make more sense. I don't mind short episode run times or few episodes. I mind those precious minutes being wasted by nonsense. I want to like this show but I feel like they are short on character development with the ML's & if the shitty employees & Seung Hyun's "I'm a door mat" personality is super important for this story line to take off then I'm here for it...but time is of the essence LOL

Apologies...I referred to Jong Chan above when I meant Seung Hyun... Plot point? Is the plot point that Seong Hyun needs rescuing? Like all of the time? In the work place & out of it? I'm also not sure that I would describe an oblivious damsel in distress that is incapable of sticking up for themselves as yummy per se. I would also consider most drunken kisses anything but yummy, due to the possibility of vomit & other not so pleasant things that can occur, but a sand paper dry-rub "kiss" would not be my ideal either. Strictly my opinion of course. To me, the "colleagues" may have been envious. I guess if I were to project & assume as everyone at the company, with the exception of the roaming intern, seem to be lazy & completely out of touch with manners. But Jong Chan hasn't been seen to have much interaction nor have there been enough outside dialogue with any of these losers for me to jump to the conclusion that they are envious of him. I don't know. I'm not arguing with you on your explanation but I just think that there's not a whole lot of depth to the characters, let alone the story line. I'm really not sure what I would consider crucial at this stage other than character development. I'm more interested in Yoo Seong as we've had flashbacks of him & have been given a couple more flakes of information about his character. The ML's work. That about sums it up. I'm hoping that we get a little more information on the ML's next week as that will be the half way point to this series.
It's not that I'm not enjoying this series I'm just not enjoying some of the side plots I guess?!? I really don't care what was in the webtoon as I didn't watch anything about this series & shouldn't have to to understand anything. That goes for any series based on a manga or webtoon in my opinion. With that said, I could have done without the whole marketing drinking karaoke bullshit as it doesn't really explain anything other than those employees being dicks & Jong Chan consistently does not stick up for himself. Maybe that's the whole point? Either way, they could have them come together without the unexplainable drama that is barely drama as there are clearly no consequences for anyone's behavior in this company. I love both women in the series! They are awesome support characters that, so far, don't cause any stereotypical unnecessary drama.

There were people that thought Oh My Sunshine Night was a masterpiece & raved incessantly about it in the comment section. I couldn't have disagreed more but I scrolled on by, noting their excitement, & proceeded to vomit my opinion in the same comment section because that's what I'm here for LOL. There have been quite a few shows that I absolutely adored & I couldn't give a rats ass what anyone thinks about it. But I do try to remain respectful & mindful of others' opinion as again, we are all entitled to one here. I also think that it's comforting to know others share the same thoughts as you do either way. Some really just want to find something to bitch about no matter what & then there are some that think the stumbling fall into your arms kiss is cinematic gold. It's all relative LOL.
