I like that they know they’re gay and figuring it out isn’t the point of the show. It’s just the story of…
I can't bash the high school because that is how I got into BL LOL. It's just that I've seen it all & they have kept to the same formula for so long! They stretched it to university & then for the couple of years out of uni...it gets redundant! The bad kissing can take me right out of the moment unfortunately. I'd rather the high five or a sniff kiss...hell a good hug is preferred to some of the "kissing" these actors & directors expect us to accept. But I will never NOT watch a BL because of the shitty intimacy so I choose to suffer sometimes or I just drop it LOL.
There was too much inner monologue for sure. The first time it was OK - I thought maybe it was for comedic effect,…
I know & I was trying to think back to the other History's & it wasn't a thing in those. I'm hoping that it just comes to an abrupt stop because it's driving me mad. Just act...

Yeah I guess. Honestly, I don't NEED characters to know they're gay or bi or straight to make me tolerate a BL. I'm really more interested in the chemistry & plot. I'd like to say that I enjoy shows just about the relationship but I don't LOL. The relationship stuff isn't all that interesting to me because I've been in them, been around them, read about them, etc. I like the passion of new relationship potential LOL. The emotional rollercoasters, villains, the crying, miscommunication, disappearing, etc. All drama within moderation of course. I also expect certain things from the older cast acting as the older cast that I don't necessarily with the younger. I have less patience with the older because...I expect a higher level of maturity & life experience. I get aggravated when the intimate scenes mock the viewers intelligence. I'll let a shoulder block or sandpaper kiss or even a lip press go with high school plots but pushing 30 & expecting that to sell me ain't gonna work LOL. Plus & Minus were guilty of this crap...Oh! Boarding House too.
Older cast acting like an older cast is awesome & I keep looking forward to the more mature story lines in the BL. Course, I'm not sure what the plot is to this BL but the ML's talk, most of it out loud, & there's very few "this happens in every BL" moments. I don't mind that KJC was pissy about WSH issues with the whole NYS past. His anger was within reason & he rectified it pretty quickly without dragging it out for an episode. I like even more that WSH was honest about it to not only KJC but with his bestie. The 2 main women in the series are adorable & I love how supportive & emotional they are LOL. I'm happy this BL has no uniforms & none of them are rockin the absolute horrible mullet or the "toddler got a hold of the scissors" hairstyle. I'm not sure what else they will be showing us but carry on...
I was rolling my eyes so hard and wanted to smack her dead in the mouth after she said which one of you is Palm!😒
I find that to be the best part of her character LOL. She hasn't made any claim that she WANTED to claim him. Seems to me that Palm's parents handled their situation like grown ups & made the best decision for him to go with his dad. If she tried to act like a mother I think I'd be a little annoyed as she clearly is not.
I'll tune in because I loved the Japanese version BUT...
This story is very much about the physical acting & just a little bit about the dialogue delivery, IMO. It's quiet & genuine & innocent. In the past they've shown us they can look at each other & the air will sizzle but they haven't been THEM in a minute so IDK. I'm curious. See y'all soon!
Well the estranged mom is....pretty awesome really LOL!
Also, every once in awhile, Nueng says something that if I were standing there my hand would itch to smack him in the forehead.
I'll suspend disbelief with all the story telling that they want to sell me while they're on the island & we are left in limbo on the badass mom but just for next week. After that I'm expecting an update.
Last but not least, I will be starting a petition calling for the absolute omittance of any & all things having to do with shitting. This includes scenes of them sitting on the toilet, which is absolutely repulsive, & talk of having to shit in general.
I have zero issues with this being about high school kids having sex as I was also in high school having sex. With that said, as a much older adult, with 2 kids of my own, it is not my interest to watch, even though it is acting, high school aged kids having sex or attempting anything else in that subject area LOL. I'm also not interested in high school story lines so there's that LOL. This is just what I'M not going to watch as I have no interest in it...does not mean I'm looking to shit on anyone that chooses to watch it. If it doesn't bother you than carry on & enjoy. I mean, I believe one of these screenwriters was a screenwriter for Check Out soooooooo, good luck with that.
Eh, I don't really care what happens in the storyline so I'm watching this for pure enjoyment...speaking of which...
HELLO MAX!!! Like it's not that he didn't do it for me before but for some reason these extra episodes he is lookin like the devils snack! Is it the clothes? The hair? The confidence? I don't care what it is as long as it remains unlimited, in high demand, & fed to us at a steady & constant pace!
Well in the beginning I was a little iffy on the mom, always thinking that she would turn pseudo bitch at any moment, but I gotta say that this is one badass woman & I'm here for it & we need more characters like her! BL's generally portray the mothers in a supportive role to their son but there's a couple that are totally awesome & this mom is leading them!
I thought the opening scenes really were downers & made me want to swing at Nueng & throat punch Chanon for most of the episode. While it's easy to want to hate on Ben I can't . They are kids still trying to figure out their world & when you have over bearing bigots for parents it's a nightmare. I can't fault that baby for not speaking up. As adults we try to put our thinking, our personality, & our drive into kids to "make them see" but that's just not gonna do it. People have to figure it out on their own good & bad. Ben's a good boy without a support system at home...he may make us proud by the end. I thought Palm went fairly easy on Nueng seeing as how Palm was deserving of an apology. He got one but after the fact. Nueng has little tendencies towards brat hood but again, they're kids. BTW, if Chopper was the little shit that outed them...I will kinda sorta be okay with that. These ARE kids & their feelings are really big & may be misplaced. I would understand why he did it & I will still think him a little shit but I already know that they're shipped in their new show so I can't hate him LOL. Plus I can't hate Perth...ever.
Are there plot holes? Sure. Lots of suspension of disbelief too. BUT...no more than any other show I guess & if the decent dialogue, simple story line, & chemistry hold up, some of the plot holes may not make too much of a difference.

Hoping that Liang starts firing people or my suspension of disbelief will max out.
