ok the breakup episode. I guess that didn't last long? What's with the insecurity.
Agreed. From the jump Gu Bu Xia has been fairly confident with himself in a lot...it's not that his insecurity necessarily came out of left field but it doesn't seem to quite fit his character.
As a Queer guy watching this, I have no problem visiting this story week after week, this is a nice distraction…
My only gripe, usually, about 13 minute episodes is that as soon as I'm in the moment & everything is flowing...BAM...it's over. It's jolting & it rips you out of the storyline.
Also, as a hetero I support this independent release week after week as well...but it doesn't mean that it's easy LOL
This episode didn't do it for me. I was excited about Ep 2, but for something this short, to spend so much time…
Alcohol is always in the front seat to make something happen. As soon as it's introduced I'm already assuming some bullshit is about to happen that would never sober LOL. Then we have to go through the "I was drunk" tiresome excuses. There are quite a few BL's that the alcohol is a ML.
actually there is no growth in the plot whatsoever. i mean it is a 8 episode series and they just figured out…
It's pretty stagnant. I also thought we would get a little background on the little shit (i.e., where is his mother, is the asshole his real father LOL, why is the little shit like this) but we just know that his father is corrupt & abusive &the little shit may/may not have mental health issues. Also, I'm pretty pissy about Nam & no one but her husband said WTF. Annnndddd, Charn has remained Charn. You think he's developed but he hasn't..at all. I like Tin's character...no flare, low key every day struggling family type of guy. The scenes don't add up either. Like Tin was pissed after finding out about Nam & was kinda sorta annoyed at Charn & then the next scene he's coming out of the shower & they almost get it on. And what was with Vit? Why? Where's the corrupt mayor connection with Vit? There's a lot that is not happening LOL.
Definitely one of the best bromances I've ever seen! The family dynamic of the 4 of them was incredible & I absolutely adore Su Yu's dad & step mom. I very much enjoyed this series even if some of the scene jumps didn't quite make sense LOL. I enjoyed this much more than Addicted & keeping my fingers crossed that the same actors come back for 2nd season.
Speaking of which...I think I'm in love with Maru's parents!!!

The entire storyline of Vit & the fire? Is there one? Absolute silliness.
I'm highly invested in the little shit with the hot body guard. Fingers crossed they get more time in the next 3 episodes.
