Da Reum dodged a bullet. Lee Chan imho is awful and it becomes more obious every week. For instance, I tgought he was blissfully unaware anout how happy Da Reum is with Hagi, but episode 9 proved me wrong. Lee Chan and his ex are a perfect match. Both of them are toxic, manipulative and selfish. They deserve nothing more,but a piece of humble pie. Lee Chan will get his karma though.
Even though that Lee Chan's behaviour towards Da Reum hit a new low I really hope he actually does something to protect her in episode 8. I really don't want him to become a villain.

These scenes hit way harder after the epilog. Since Dareum is already aware that she has romantic feelings for Hagi. It was almost perfect evening, they were seconds away from progressing to 1st name basis, but then the ending happened.

I just finished my episode 7 rewatch, and I don't even know where to start with Lee Chan. I honestly think it's actually worse. He can't get Da Reum's style into account = he doesn’t know her, and shows no intention to get to know her. It's all about HIM and his mostly unspoken competition with Hagi.
So I've finally watched unreleased scenes from episodes 5 and 6, as a little treat for myself since the next episode is just hours away, and even though I like them, I'm not surprised they ended up on the cutting room floor.
In my opinion, they reveal way too early that Dareum is already falling for Hagi. She's wondering why her heart is beating so fast, and she chose to sit next to him during dinner even though Lee Chan was right there.
In the scenes they went with instead, she's focused on Hagi's behaviour towards her. She's yet to realise that something shifted between them. Imho, they were never casual and it'll become more obvious with each episode.
We're half way though this kdrama and I really like the approach they're taking with Dareum and Hagi. It's very quiet love coded. They grow closer without realising it. I wonder how much time will pass till Dareum realises that Hagi is her comfort person she can rely on.
