I love WTPR so much. I CAN'T actually believe they delivered so much on the last episode. The only thing I'd change or get rid off is the Argan storyline.
Despite everything my favorite part is the scene between our ML and Hee Joo's father.

It was brcause In A clocked immediately that he's not the real Sa Eon and she said it aloud. The grandfather heard it and decided to silence her.

I HONESTLY don't even know how they do it at this point. It's been 11 episodes already, and they keep delivering such a quality episode by episode.

No weak moments, just plot progression and top notch acting all around. I've thought that there's no way YYS gonna top the marvelous acting class he gave us in episode 10. ...but he did.

I'm certain that Baek Sa Eon is shaping up to be one of my favorite MLs in kdrama. I LOVE the fact that he stayed so focused. He knew exactly where to go and he didn't waste any time. I love how cunning he's been for all this time. That last look of realisation he gave to Hee Joo wrecked me.

Hong Hee Joo has really wild throughts I hope soon will be the time to put them in practice.
No but seriously, when they showed us that flashback from their first day of marriage I felt really bad for her. You can sense she was waiting for him despite all the vile stuff he told her before the wedding. She's been so lonely for years, and Sa Eon didn't even have the guts to tell her the details of their new arrangement in person. He was in the same apartment but decided to send a text. Just rude.

That's literally the point. For a split second they thought they can simply go home, but they can't. The look of realisation at the end of episode 11 was everything.

But I totally get you . I just found out I have a family meeting in at the time when the last episode will be available on netflix and I felt relieved... bc WTPR will end for me a couple hour later than originally planned.

See it's still very subjective because I don't consider either of the things you mention as twists like at all. Do Jae was a red flag to me since episode one. He wanted to be present during the 1st conversation with kidnapper and the remembered the phone number a little too well.

Mr Hong was already hinting at ML real identity back in episode 3, and considering how cunning he is I doubt he'd let even his step kid marry some random orphan. I don't thing it'll play a major role in the last two episodes.

There was very little thriller till the end of episode 8. So it was time to finally get there imho.

I have to share something.
My friends are generally devided into two groups - those who watch kdramas ocassionally only when dubbed in english and to those who don't watch them at all... and I mean AT ALL.

Well... Friends from both those groups already asked me if all WTPR episodes are already out because they want to watch it.

But what just proved this kdrama is truly something else is the fact that even my bestie, who had a really bad luck to come across a ktrauma when she she needed to boost her mood and unfortunatelly dropped watching kdramas for years because of it.
EVEN SHE just let me know she's so ready to start over with When The Phone Rings if I tell her if it ends well or not in advance.

Obviously, i asked why and she told me she cane across that virial video of YYS from press conference with over 6 million views rn on tiktok and she can no longer ignore it!

I'm so happy! I've been waiting for so long for that moment! She just made my day!

I've already seen all 10 episodes that are available right now. It's something I've become unsure of on a rewatch.

Personally, I suspect after rewatching it again that it was more the fact Hong Hee Joo didn't feel they're even close enough to share something so dangerous. ( She chose not to tell him bc of the things he said), but still it gotta hurt him to the bone.

Was it the fact that Hong Hee Joo was actually kidnapped or was it the realisation that she was willing to hide it from Sa Eon that brought them closer together?
