Well, it only shows how subjective it really is, because my current top3 include episodes 7, 6 and 10. I don't…
I'll do my best to do it without major spoilers.
Right now from the first half of the story episodes 6, 4, 1 (which I appreciate it so much more after episode 10), 2, and 3 are my favorites followed by episode 5. For some reason I've noticed some people don't really like episode 5, and I lowkey wonder why. Yes, the 2nd leads are pretty annoying in this episode, but I love the the ML is fully on his wife's side, right from the start. Add two childhood flashbacks and I'm good. Also in this episode something shifts in their relation.
I'll adjust my ranking once all the episodes are out. If they'll nail the ending it's gonna be high probably a 9.
Please let my know using the spoiler tag which plot twist are you refering to.
Honestly, I'm not even sure how to rate this drama. It was a 10/10 from episodes 1 to 4, then dropped to a 9.5/10…
Well, it only shows how subjective it really is, because my current top3 include episodes 7, 6 and 10. I don't remember the last time an episode of kdrama actually left me in tears. YYS acting, Hee Joo became one of my FLs, 2nd lead couple, and the fact that even the kidnapper himself became more interesting to me.
So in anticipation of the conclusion of the story, I'm rewatching from the beginning. I just finished episode 2 and there already are some scenes that that hit me so much harder the second time around based on everything we know from episode 10.
1) calling Hee Joo mother when the alleged kidnapper called him was a big mistake. Maybe she never lied to him at this point? I wonder why didn't he try to contact directly with Hee Joo? Is it explained in the novel or webtoon? My current guess is that they've been living like strangers for years, and he wanted to keep it that way, until he found out the truth about that evening and saw her injuries.
2) obviously the ''my wife is my weakness" scene. It's likely the first time Sa Eon told the truth about his feelings and priorities in public, and even though he clarified what he meant (it perfectly ties in with the titled umbrella meaning of his wedding ring...) Hee Joo was so hurt and mad at him when it was most likely his first confession he was willing to make and it happened in episode 1.
Honestly, I can't even blame Sa Eon for this. He watched Hee Joo's in-laws turn into absolute menace whenever they see her, and even the most random people are mean and rude to her just because she can't speak. Hell would freeze had they known about their contract marriage.
3) text messages with In A. Sa Eon tried to act nonchalant about it but knowing what he sent to his bride to be and why changed the perspective so much. He put everything on the line for Hee Joo. It could have easily blow up in his face, but he was willing to take that risk for her, If that's not love, I don't know what is.
A theory regarding the role of the kidnapper in episode 11 that is floating around on tiktok below
It's possible that the detective work in this fandom strikes again bc quite a lot of people have noticed that the last facial expression Sa Eon gives in the episode 11 preview is pretty similar to the look he gave Hee Joo in episode 2 when he found out she's safe and sound after the second call with 406.
He looks relieved, and it's likely after he's meeting with the kidnapper. So it's plausible he just found that his weakness is alive. Fingers crossed it turns out to be true.
1 mln likes is pretty insane, especially for a video posted like a day ago.
WTPR is such a unique case 2 me. So many things went right during creating this adaptaion. Ppl were involved who really knew how to adapt the novel for a TV series, the leads who know each other for many years and really can act and don't hesitate go all the way in, overall fantastic cast and extraordinary attention to detail.
I absolutely love how dedicated WTPR fandom is. I don't remember the last time I saw such a detective work with any kdrama. Parallels between past and current timeline including the meaning between their wedding rings and the sunset. Even the shift in Sa Eon's clothing choices from episode 6 and on. On one hand I'm really sad that there's only two episodes left, but on the other hand I'd rather have a shorther nicely wrapped story, than a dragged out kdrama with an underwhelming ending.
I recommend this FV. I'm glad I finally found one that mainly focuses on their childhood storyline. Both child actors are great and I really hope we'll get more flasback scenes with them in the last two episodes.

It sucks that they decide on those things in advance. The trailer didn't grab my attention either, but when I saw the opening scene I was ready to wait for each episode. Considering how popular is BTS footage, it's such a wasted opportunity.
Maybe it's just me but I've never been more convinced that WTPR will have a happy ending that I am after episode 10. Yes, it was very heavy, and I don't remember the last time I cried so much watching anything... But the show creators have been hinting at ordinary good life in dreams and imagination a little too much for it not to materialize by the end of the series.
What's more, by the end of ep 10 Sa Eon realized his life does have a purpose and he wants to spend the rest of it with Hong Hui Ju. Put your seatbelts on bc episode 11 might be even worse, but I strongly believe they'll reunite and give themselves a chance to be an ordinary couple just like everybody else.
Ever since I saw those episodes again I can't decide on something.
Please HELP, bc right I can't even move on to episode 3.
