I've noticed this phenomenon too and I don't understand it. Probably because they want to avoid being followed or recognized. You learn a user's behavior as you chat with them or follow what they write. Maybe they want to change certain behaviors and then decide to appear with a different username, so they can discuss from their new perspective. Or simply mislead other users. :)
