This is why this drama is exceptionally good. It is not afraid of leading the story in such dark places. Once you find a truly amazing person you cannot believe they are real and you break them to the point where they wonder if they should even exist. You may check but checking and making sure they are real sometimes break beyond return. Much like in any relationship, once you made sure.. you want it. But you want it only after you are sure it can no longer hurt you or deceive you.. while loving means giving power and hoping they don't use it against you. It's easy to be sure of your partner when you stripped them naked and you are SURE they are great people. However love is always hoping you chose the best person.. do not break them just to make sure they are real, only because that is the only way you can finally give your love to them. I truly love this plot.

..... oh yeah. We need Fan Xiao to faint in a mouthful of water (tears) and let his ass get dragged to the shore. :)))

The problem here is that, he said the boy did it again as if never learning. So he hesitated the second time, he saved him again but hesitated.
It's just like Fan Xiao who keep playing games over and over till the point of You Shulang despite loving him, hesitates. He stopped swimming, which is a way of saying.. He might save Fan XIao despite him being very stupid again and again. he might do so while still hurting, hesitating but man.. writer, please do not leave him like that, make him swim (love) again.

it is the first time in my life that I am also reading the webtoon and even though I am up to date with the series, I came back to watch it again.. slowly :))))

I don't think I've seen something this good this year (and man do I watch a lot of dramas).... no matter how it ends this is a solid 10/10 for me. It hurts me to the core.

man I love his hair... don't ask why, i've seen that style so many times but i just love ML's hair.
Last time I kept staring was when i saw Stranger (season 1) that feathery style.. just fits.

same thought. but the mistress seems awfully sure she did have a relationship since she is so eager to avenge him.

Plus, if she and the mother in law knew each other as it seems in the last scene, I don't get the garden scene. It is obvious she slipped the fact that she knew about him not being her natural son , she knew she messed up.. so did she know that from him ? (i thought he did not know.. but if he did why tell the mistress... if they were allies then what about the son ?) 2 eps can wrap it up

The one scene that sent chills down my spine was the one with the Chinese ambassador.. "you want this war?"
"everyone wants it"

I want that too but remember he too got shot when they escaped by boat. Yet in the intimate scene she asked if he would really take a bullet for her. Lady, he kinda did... but I guess she meant "die" for her, so even the bullet he took now won't be enough for the writers to prove his dedication.
I guess they wanna make a parallel with the opening scene when she was willing to take a bullet for her husband. since "i am you and you are me in our dreams".

I hope they use the intent in his case as well if needed to be willing (as the poor man already did the entire show) and not actually kill him. :))
