So i was watching a National Geographic about the Great Wall of China. And it mentioned the first emperor of China. And I was "holdon, that name is familiar". So i came back to this show and realized all the characters here are based on historical figures. Except for the titular King's Woman.
If you skip/forget all the scenes witht the second lead couple. It actually can be tagged as short web series. No offense to the second leads but they really have no effect to the plot line nor chemistry. Unlike Go Ahead/Lecoup de foudre. Just for reference.
If you pay attention to episode 1, Ni Chang's father stated that they have no son to heir the family's business…
That's quite sad... It was very interesting and piqued me when I could obviously that it is a girl playing a male role. Turns out it really is part of the story.
I have a question regarding the politics in the story. Because the "Lord" clearly is a royal position, the king or emperor. But they dont call him that. And the palace has been termed down as mansion. The princess is being called Lady. The prince is called Young Lord. Was there a conflict with artistic licenses that they could not portray the characters as a royal family?
I was so confused with that. I thought the first princess is the Queen. And the his majesty was the one who got caught in the cold trying to find help and only the Huo clan helped them.
ha, It works either way.
