The whole Yanhui falling in love with Tian Yao due to the Fox essence really rubs me the wrong way. Not a fan of characters falling in love due to love drugs. I know it’s for comedic value but it kinda forces the romantic progression and does not feel natural. Even though she returns to normal, some of that infatuation is still there.
They had that in the novel too which I didn’t like. I was hoping they’d keep it out but guess not.
This is one of those dramas that is the victim of lazy/sloppy writing which leads to bad character development…
I think the portrayal of Qingqing is perfect because of her traits and characteristics as a bird. When you think about it, if you’ve ever had a pet bird, they are quite chirpy, loud and energetic. I think the character is just right and Pan Mei Ye did a great job portraying it.
I actually really like Zhou Ruji. He was my favorite person in the novel so I can’t help but like him here. He’s just the perfect person. I just wish he and Xin Qi can get along. They’re both great daddies to Quan Quan
Right? Especially the ML I doubted that he's dubbed. It just seems so natural.
Noise problems and regional accents, though usually it is ancient/historical dramas that are dubbed. Modern dramas tend to not get dubbed as often so I’m not sure about the reasoning for modern dramas.
Min Hui in the novel was a liar whose actions can’t be justified while drama version of Min Hui is more honest, respectable and doesn’t dwell in the past. Usually I am iffy about drama adaptions but I am quite happy with this one.
FL gets married bc she legally needs to have a husband in order to have her child. The man she marries is only…
ML was really cold and heartless to her. Told her he never wanted to see her again which is why she had no choice but to get married after finding out she was pregnant. She couldn’t have a child unless she had a marriage certificate. Anyway but that is the novel. This drama seems to be going a different direction.
FL gets married bc she legally needs to have a husband in order to have her child. The man she marries is only…
I’m not sure about this drama’s plot because it seems like they are taking out major character Su Tian. If so then it’ll probably be full fluff. Novel was full of grief and no romance so it looks like drama is going a different direction
Can anyone give me a spoiler about, 2ML syndrome being there or not? I saw the trailer in that one guy pushes…
FL gets married bc she legally needs to have a husband in order to have her child. The man she marries is only her husband in name but regardless, he’s a good father to her son. They eventually get divorced because he has to take care of his dying ex wife. Not sure if this is in the drama but seems like that guy in the trailer is her husband.
for those who are confused by the synopsis: basically in the novel, su tian saved min hui from suicide and died…
Pretty sure they removed Su Tian from the drama since he called her Min Hui in the trailer. Grief and angst turning into pure fluff. I guess it’s not a bad thing since I didn’t really like Min Hui in the novel. Hopefully her actions in the drama are more justifiable than in the novel
Ten Miles and Who Rules the World has low rating on Douban. Both are high regarded Cdrama on international market.…
I read BFTB and the summary of both does sound familiar but nothing else from what you mention regarding ancient crows and what not. It’s more of a girl unjustly treated by her sect and a dragon who was betrayed by his ex lover. But we shall see
They had that in the novel too which I didn’t like. I was hoping they’d keep it out but guess not.
